POSITION: Social and Digital Strategist

WORK LOCATION: Santa Monica, CA.  Position allows some work-from home flexibility, with schedule to be approved by manager. Must work on site as required.

DUTIES: Plan and contribute to social and digital marketing strategies, roll-outs, and communications frameworks focusing on the automotive industry; support dynamic content optimization and creative management platform work, tapping into library assets such as text, graphics, or multimedia assets; contribute to automotive client-specific Adbuilder kits to support ad association and the adoption of agency-developed social media content; coordinate client gaming partnerships including influencer briefings and social ad copy; apply automotive category and competition-specific insights to develop comparison-focused social media content that will convert undecided shoppers to the client brand and client product; contribute to counter-measure initiatives that arise throughout the year as market conditions and automotive sales support needs change; collect and analyze web and search engine analytics data on creative formats, platform characteristics, specifications, and audience behaviors to inform platform, placement, and messaging strategy; recommend content, media, and strategy optimization based on quantitative campaign performance; continuously monitor search and web trends and make adjustments to improve search and query behaviors and transaction volume; serve as a trusted social and digital content resource and liaison for internal and client teams; work closely with copywriters and designers, brand strategists, account management, media partners, and analysts to drive measurable impact for clients from social media and digital efforts; develop and deliver social content briefs for creative teams to inform their work; actively and substantively contribute to creative reviews to ensure that creative assets align with briefs and platform specifications; and provide mentorship to intern(s).

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication Studies, Digital Communications & Media, or a related field, plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as a Social Media Community Manager or a related role in social media management in an agency setting. Experience must include: social media marketing including search engine optimization (SEO), user-generated content, and brand voice; social media management and listening technology including Meltwater, Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Brandwatch, and NetBase; social creative formats, platform characteristics, specifications, and audience demographics; digital metrics for Meta, Instagram, Pinterest, X, LinkedIn, and/or Snapchat; automotive marketing including standard key performance indicators (KPIs); and brand-building principles and brand and marketing strategy frameworks. RATE OF PAY: $70,000 to $87,000 per year
