We Are:

RTB House is a next-generation performance demand-side platform (DSP) that uses proprietary Deep Learning AI algorithms to help brands grow. The company is the market leader in driving performance using Deep Learning across the entire purchase funnel.

Founded in 2012, and now operating in 90+ markets, RTB House has always been private-by-design. It embraces first-party advertising and a relentless approach to innovation. RTB House offers end-to-end Deep Learning-powered AdTech products and solutions to maximize conversion, drive new customer acquisition, create engagement, and fuel long-term demand for a global base of clients.

We are looking for a hybrid professional who combines the rigor of an in-house lawyer with the people-first mindset of an HR Business Partner. This role sits at the intersection of legal risk management and employee experience, acting as a trusted advisor to leadership and staff on both legal matters and people-related strategy. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable drafting a contract and coaching a manager through a difficult performance conversation.

Legal Counsel Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on employment law.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (employment agreements, NDAs, employment related contracts).
  • Ensure company policies, handbooks, and processes comply with local labor law and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage or coordinate with external counsel on litigation, disputes, or regulatory inquiries.
  • Advise leadership on legal risk related to hiring, terminations, restructuring, and disciplinary actions.
  • Monitor changes in employment law and update internal policies accordingly.

HR Business Partner Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders to align people strategy with business goals.
  • Guide managers on performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, promotions, restructuring, offboarding.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and confidential point of contact for employee relations issues.
  • Design and implement HR policies, ensuring they are both legally sound and people-friendly.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and People Ops on workforce planning and organizational design.
  • Support compensation, benefits, and compliance-related people processes.

Cross-Functional Responsibilities:

  • Bridge the gap between Legal and HR so that policies are both compliant and practical.
  • Lead or support investigations into workplace complaints (harassment, discrimination, grievances) with both legal and HR lenses.
  • Train managers on legally compliant, people-centric leadership practices.
  • Represent the company in labor negotiations, works council interactions, or union matters if applicable.

Desired Experience:

  • Law degree, bar admission/qualification to practice law in (jurisdiction).
  • 3–7+ years of experience in employment law, corporate law, or in-house counsel roles.
  • Prior experience in HR, HRBP, or people operations is a strong plus (or willingness to build this skill set).
  • Strong knowledge of local labor law, employment regulations, and corporate compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to translate complex legal language into practical guidance for non-lawyers.
  • High emotional intelligence and discretion when handling sensitive employee matters.
  • Open to work with foreign legal systems and manage overseas labour legal matters.
  • Experience advising on both legal risk and organizational culture simultaneously.
  • Strong stakeholder management -  comfortable advising C-level executives and supporting frontline employees alike.
  • Analytical and pragmatic: able to balance legal risk aversion with business pragmatism.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, contract management tools, and compliance tracking.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) as they relate to employee data.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, often being the sole legal/HR resource in the room.

We Offer:

  • An office located next to Wilanowska metro station.
  • Possibility to learn in an international organisation in one of the fastest growing online advertising sectors.
  • An international professional environment that inspires you and enables you to create processes from the scratch as part of a highly qualified cross-functional team;
  • A rewarding career in a friendly and inspiring atmosphere with no corporate habits and a growing dynamic multi-cultural team.
