Cloud Engineer

  • Hybrid | Denver, CO: This role requires onsite work 1–2 days per week; candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance or be willing to relocate.

✨ What You’ll Do 

  • Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring availability, scalability, and security of all environments.
  • Configure, monitor, and optimize AWS services to improve performance and cost efficiency.
  • Automate routine tasks and deployments.
  • Monitor system health, participate in incident response, and resolve issues to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
  • Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and IT teams to support application deployments and infrastructure needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of cloud environments, configurations, and procedures.

🎯 What We’re Looking For 

  • 3-5 years of experience administering and supporting AWS cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, ECS, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation.
  • Experience with automation tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation and system administration tasks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows in collaboration with development teams.
  • Ability to proactively identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations or changes to optimize the cloud environment.

💎 Nice To Have 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business related discipline
  • Strong understanding of cloud cost management, including usage tracking across departments, to ensure transparency and financial accountability.
  • AWS or Advanced AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) .
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or other containerization/orchestration platforms.
  • Experience with implementing security best practices for cloud environments, including identity management, encryption, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
  • Exposure to serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway).
  • Practical knowledge of working with APIs, including integration into enterprise applications such as chat or collaboration platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.

The compensation range for this role is 80K-125K for Denver, Colorado. The salary range displayed on this job posting reflects a minimum and maximum target. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that this range reflects the base salary target range only, and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
