Senior Salesforce Administrator

Denver, Colorado

Are you a seasoned Salesforce professional ready to move beyond administration and take ownership of a business critical platform? Do you bring both deep technical expertise and the confidence to influence how a business operates? RTI is looking for a Senior Salesforce Engineer who will partner closely with the business and take hands-on ownership of designing, building, and maintaining Salesforce solutions that move the organization forward. This is a senior, business facing role with accountability across design, delivery, and ongoing platform health.

At RTI, we believe in the power of people and the power of Salesforce when it is designed intentionally. We are investing in the next phase of our Salesforce journey and are seeking a senior level functional engineer who can translate business strategy into durable Salesforce solutions. This is not a traditional Salesforce Administrator role. This role owns business logic, process design, and platform risk in close partnership with business stakeholders, especially Sales and Finance.

Please note this is an hybrid role based in Denver, CO and requires onsite work 1-2 days per week. In addition, due to export-control regulations, candidates must meet the federal definition of a “US person” (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee). Visa sponsorship is not available.

✨ What You’ll Do

Salesforce Functional Ownership

  • Partner with business stakeholders to design and implement Salesforce business processes that are tightly aligned to business priorities and focused on delivering measurable value.
  • Design and build complex automation using Flow Builder as the primary automation tool. Flow design, migration, and orchestration expertise is required.
  • Define Salesforce data models, object structures, and relationships to support current and future business needs.
  • Establish configuration standards and patterns that Administrators execute and maintain.

Solution Design Through Delivery

  • Lead Salesforce initiatives from concept through production, including requirements discovery, solution design, build, testing, and release.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, performant, and maintainable within Salesforce platform constraints.
  • Serve as the final decision maker for technical design.

Integration and Platform Risk

  • Design, govern, and oversee Salesforce integrations with enterprise systems such as ERP and other platforms, ensuring data integrity, resilience, and operational reliability.
  • Own functional and platform level risk.
  • Escalate, document, and manage technical tradeoffs with leadership when constraints arise.

Security and Governance

  • Design Salesforce security in alignment with compliance and change control standards.
  • Partner with the Administrator to ensure consistent execution of security models and access hygiene.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Partner with Administrators on report and dashboard implementation and ongoing maintenance.
  • Establish standards for report performance, data freshness, and interpretability as data volume grows.
  • Identify gaps in data capture and recommend upstream process or data model changes to improve analytical accuracy.

Leadership and Enablement

  • Serve as the senior technical escalation point for Salesforce.
  • Mentor Administrators and other team members, reinforcing design standards and best practices.
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on platform capabilities, constraints, and tradeoffs.

Documentation and Enablement

  • Maintain clear documentation of Salesforce configuration, processes, and standards.
  • Support user enablement through targeted training and guidance where needed.
  • Monitor, diagnose, and resolve complex production issues related to business logic and platform behavior.

🎯 What We’re Looking For

  • 8 plus years of hands-on Salesforce experience with deep expertise in Sales Cloud and related Salesforce products. Working knowledge of Apex, triggers, or Visualforce.
  • Proven ownership of Salesforce org governance and strategic direction, including prioritization frameworks, design standards, and executive level decision support.
  • Demonstrated ownership of complex Salesforce business processes and declarative automation.
  • Advanced proficiency with Flow Builder and Salesforce automation patterns.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data modeling, security architecture, and platform limits.
  • Proven ability to partner with business stakeholders at all levels and challenge requirements constructively.
  • Experience operating within formal change management and release processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to non technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives with competing priorities.
  • US Person Requirement: Due to export-control regulations, candidates must meet the federal definition of a “US person” (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee). Visa sponsorship is not available.

💎 Nice To Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business related discipline
  • Salesforce certifications
  • Experience implementing CPQ or ERP integrations
  • Experience with Experience Cloud and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement
  • Project management experience
  • Active participation in the Salesforce community
  • Knowledge of Financial terms and workflows

🌟 What We Offer You

  • Business Partnership: You will work directly with Sales, Finance, and other stakeholders to challenge assumptions, design future state processes, and ensure the existing Salesforce instance is architected and reflects how the business truly operates.
  • Salesforce as a Platform: You will lead the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions, balancing delivery speed with long term platform health.
  • Analytics and Insight: You will define reporting logic that drives action, not just dashboards that look good. Your work will directly influence executive and operational decision making.
  • Career Growth: This role provides exposure to complex business problems and platform level decision making.
  • Flexible Paid Time Off + “Real Vacation Bonus,” an additional bonus for taking more than 1-week of uninterrupted vacation.
  • Annual bonus based on individual and company performance + other prizes and awards.
  • We recognize employees for their achievements, offer great opportunities for career growth and development, and provide the tools they need to succeed.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
