Position Overview

As the Senior Manager, Strategy and Operations, you will report to the VP, Head of Strategy & Operations, and collaborate cross-functionally across the entire organization. You will be responsible for managing trade operations and settlement, driving operational efficiency, implementing process improvements, and ensuring the on-time delivery of strategic initiatives. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day execution of critical business processes, working to streamline operations and optimize workflows. This role also extends beyond traditional operations to include business strategy execution, internal consulting, and organizational enablement. while ensuring that our operational infrastructure supports rapid growth, innovation, and delivery of core business goals. 

The ideal candidate is a curious, humble, and analytically-minded individual with a bias toward action and impact. You could be a fit for this role if you have substantial experience in operations, project management, or consulting at a startup. Experience with project management methodologies is preferred, as is VCM work experience or an understanding of carbon markets. This role requires an agile, analytical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment, and can bring clarity, structure, and momentum to complex initiatives.

This is a hybrid position - candidates must be based within one hour of our New York City, Los Angeles, or San Francisco offices

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Program Management & Business Planning:

  • Drive the execution of high-impact strategic initiatives across departments, aligning teams around shared objectives, timelines, and KPIs.
  • Partner with leadership to shape annual planning, business reviews, and performance tracking processes.
  • Develop frameworks and operating models that help translate strategic vision into actionable programs.
  • Conduct strategic and operational analysis to identify growth opportunities, operating model improvements, and new investment areas

Operations & Cross-Functional Enablement:

  • Lead and optimize daily trade operations, vendor onboarding, reporting, and post-investment workflows in coordination with Legal, Sales, Trading, and Investment teams.
  • Design and refine scalable business processes to enhance cross-functional collaboration, speed of execution, and information flow.
  • Build and evolve core operational systems and tools (e.g., project management platforms, reporting dashboards, knowledge repositories).
  • Champion process improvement initiatives that reduce friction, increase accountability, and support business velocity.

Executive & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Prepare high-quality, data-driven presentations and insights for senior leadership and board audiences.
  • Facilitate internal alignment across key initiatives through structured communication and rigorous follow-up.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and act as a connector between teams to unlock operational bottlenecks and strategic misalignments.

 

Qualifications

  • At least 3–5+ years of experience in business operations, corporate strategy, consulting, or program management, ideally in high-growth or startup environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives from inception to execution.
  • Strong analytical skills; able to structure ambiguous problems, synthesize insights, and develop business recommendations.
  • Proficiency in operational tools such as Asana, G-Suite, Slack, and knowledge-sharing platforms.
  • Familiarity with carbon markets or environmental commodities is a strong plus.
  • Collaborative and low-ego; excels in influencing without authority and driving outcomes through relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for clear, concise storytelling.
  • Passion for climate change, sustainability, and innovation.

 

Compensation

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is $150,000 to $175,000. The actual offer, reflecting the total cash compensation package, long-term incentives, and excellent benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team, among other factors.
