Job Summary:

As Ruggable's Senior Technical Project Manager, you will support the execution of technical projects by providing detailed documentation, tracking progress, and reporting key updates to stakeholders. You will directly partner with product, engineering, and design leads to ensure timelines, scope, and budgets have overall adherence to project management standards while identifying areas for improvement. You will collaborate with functional leaders to gather and document requirements, ensuring clear communication between internal and external technical teams. Key players in technology planning processes and engagement with stakeholders. You’ll act as a chief of staff-type to the technology leaders.

What You’ll Do:

  • Organize Project Documents: Collaborating with functional leaders and stakeholders to gather, formalize, and maintain project requirements, trackers, KPIs, and other shareable forms
  • Monitoring Progress: Tracking project milestones, timelines, and deliverables, and ensuring alignment with the project scope and objectives
  • Generating & Maintaining Reports: Preparing regular updates, status reports, and dashboards to keep stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and changes
  • Facilitating Communication: Acting as a liaison between internal and external technical teams, ensuring clear and effective communication
  • Introduce & Maintain Compliance: Ensuring adherence to established project management practices, standards, and methodologies
  • Identifying Risks & Dependencies: Documenting potential risks, issues, and dependencies, and escalating them as needed for resolution. Both between technology functions and as it relates to external groups
  • Lead Team & Company Process Improvements: Contributing to the refinement and enhancement of project management processes to improve efficiency and outcomes

What You’ll Need to Have:

Required:

  • Team Player - must be able to work alongside varied types of people, from operators to engineers, from marketers to accountants
  • Adaptability - must be able to flex between high level strategic conversations and tactical details. This role would get exposure to a constant stream of varied degree of detail of information and would excel if able to determine important parts and ignore noise. Likewise, this person must be able to adapt communication style to meet needs of varied audiences
  • Technical Understanding - Must have some understanding of technology teams and how they operate
  • Strong Organizational Skills - Spreadsheet wizard. Slide expert. Great at creating net new and maintaining existing document styles
  • Project Management Toolkit - Jira, Confluence, Google suite
  • This role would be expected to be able to travel between local offices / plants as needed
  • Domestic travel is expected 2-3 times per year
  • Candidate needs to be based in Los Angeles, CA or Chicago, IL

Preferred:

  • ERP, WMS, OMS knowledge
  • E-commerce company experience
  • Prior experience in technology role  

Compensation:

  • $120,000 - $140,000 per year base salary
  • An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role
  • Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K plan
