This is an ideal opportunity for a highly organized and experienced development leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a deep understanding of textile manufacturing processes and global supply chain dynamics.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead product development from concept through production for rugs and home textile categories
  • Manage and mentor a team of Product Development Associates, providing clear direction, support, and career development
  • Build and manage detailed development calendars and ensure all internal and external stakeholders are aligned on key milestones
  • Partner with overseas suppliers to develop innovative yarns, materials, and constructions that meet design and customer needs
  • Review and approve technical documentation including sample specs, lab dips, testing results, and pre-production trials
  • Own communication with global vendors, ensuring timelines, costs, and quality standards are met
  • Conduct factory visits and vendor meetings to ensure development alignment, troubleshoot issues, and maintain strong partnerships
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflow and enhance cross-functional collaboration
  • Partner with compliance and QA teams to ensure all products meet regulatory and internal testing standards

What You’ll Need to Have:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Development, Textiles, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in product development, with at least 2 years of experience managing direct reports
  • Proven experience working with overseas vendors and textile manufacturing processes

  • Excellent project management and cross-functional communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, high-growth environment
  • Willingness to travel internationally to vendor locations
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate global time zones

Preferred:

  • Experience with factory development with overseas vendors
  • Deep technical knowledge of textile manufacturing processes (e.g., weaving, tufting, knitting, bonding, finishing)
  • Familiarity with testing protocols and standards (ASTM, AATCC, ISO, etc.)
  • Proficiency in PLM systems and project management tool

Compensation:

  • $130,000 - $155,000 per year base salary
  • An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role
