Job Summary:
Ruggable is looking for a strategic and hands-on leader to build and oversee our multi-site maintenance program. This role is responsible for improving equipment performance, reducing downtime, and driving long-term asset reliability through strong maintenance systems, failure analysis, and data visibility. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in maintenance best practices, reliability-centered maintenance, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing work environment. They excel at developing scalable maintenance systems, enabling smarter decision-making through data, and partnering cross-functionally to ensure equipment capability supports quality expectations and business goals.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide strategic leadership over equipment reliability initiatives across all manufacturing facilities
- Lead our preventative and predictive maintenance program across the network
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Maintenance Managers focused on optimizing equipment performance, reducing parts consumption cost, and improving product consistency
- Build a multi-year maintenance reliability project roadmap to improve asset reliability
- Champion initiatives that improve color consistency and reduce critical product variation using data-driven methodologies
- Own KPI development and reporting for maintenance reliability and part consumption; regularly communicate results to executive stakeholders
- Scope, project management, and implement equipment modifications to improve color consistency, operator efficiency, and equipment reliability
- Drive network-wide CMMS standardization to enhance data accuracy and maintenance performance
What You’ll Need to Have:
Required:
- 5+ years of professional experience working in maintenance reliability or similar engineering role across multiple manufacturing sites
- 3+ years of people leadership preferably managing managers or large cross functional teams
- Deep understanding of reliability engineering tools (FMEA, RCA, PM Optimization, Predictive Technologies, OEE)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems, including identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
- Ability to analyze failure data and develop long-term reliability improvement strategies
- Experience developing maintenance KPIs and dashboards for network-level visibility
- Expertise in CMMS administration including workflow design, standardization, KPIs, and reporting
- Ability to leverage data to drive decision-making, identify trends, and reduce downtime and parts consumption.
- Excellent proficiency with Google Sheets / Excel, including advanced formulas and model construction
- Ability to build and effectively manage capital project budgets
- Ability to project manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to standardize processes and drive adoption across diverse teams
- Proven ability to align cross-functional teams around reliability priorities and goals
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Experience utilizing and/or building dashboards (i.e., Tableau, Sigma, Looker, Google Sheets)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field
- This role can be based in Los Angeles, CA, Bedford Park, IL, or Charlotte, NC
Preferred:
- Previous experience working in consumer packaged goods or textiles
- Previous experience in controls and automation
Compensation:
- $115,000 - $140,000 per year base salary
- An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role
- Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K plan
