Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and people-first HR Generalist to support the full spectrum of human resources operations. In this role, you will serve as a day-to-day resource for employees and managers, administer core HR programs, and maintain the data accuracy that keeps our people operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate brings 2–4 years of hands-on HR experience, a genuine curiosity for data and reporting, and working knowledge of modern HRIS platforms such as ADP or Paylocity. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love turning data into insights, and find deep satisfaction in building great employee experiences from hire to retire, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Coordinate end-to-end onboarding logistics, including scheduling new hire orientations, preparing welcome communications, and ensuring Day 1 readiness.
- Process new hire data in Paylocity and supporting systems; maintain accurate employment records from offer through first day.
- Partner with IT to provision system access, manage distribution list enrollment, and ensure seamless technology onboarding for new employees.
- Manage offboarding coordination, including scheduling exit meetings, collecting company property, and processing terminations accurately in payroll and HR systems.
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, and ancillary plans; coordinate open and life-event enrollment periods.
- Oversee 401(k) plan administration, including enrollment, contribution changes, loan processing, and vendor coordination.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee benefits questions, providing timely and accurate guidance.
HRIS & Data Management
- Maintain Paylocity as the system of record; manage user access and security roles, and ensure employee data integrity across all modules.
- Generate and analyze monthly HR data reports, identifying trends in headcount, turnover, compensation, and benefits utilization.
- Process employment changes — promotions, transfers, compensation adjustments, and status changes — in HRIS and payroll systems with accuracy and timeliness.
- Contribute to data hygiene initiatives and audit activities to ensure compliance and reporting accuracy.
Leave of Absence & Compliance
- Partner with third party vendor on administering leave of absence programs (FMLA, state leave, personal leave), coordinating approvals, tracking, and return-to-work processes.
- Ensure leave events are accurately reflected in payroll and HR systems with appropriate documentation.
- Support recordkeeping compliance in accordance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
Compensation & Performance
- Participate in compensation benchmarking exercises, gathering market data to support pay equity reviews and offer recommendations.
- Administer performance management platform, including cycle setup, general configuration, and employee/manager support.
Employee Experience & Support
- Respond to daily employee inquiries via email and direct support channels, delivering timely, accurate, and empathetic assistance.
- Build trusted relationships across the organization, acting as a reliable and approachable HR resource at all levels.
What You’ll Need to Have:
Required:
- 2–4 years of progressive HR generalist or HR coordinator experience.
- Hands-on experience with an HRIS platform — Paylocity, ADP, or comparable system required.
- Demonstrated ability to work with HR data: running reports, analyzing trends, and presenting findings clearly.
- Working knowledge of benefits administration, including open enrollment, billing reconciliation, and carrier coordination.
- Familiarity with payroll processing workflows and the downstream impact of HR transactions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a service-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace; comfort learning new HR tools quickly.
Preferred:
- Experience with Lattice or a comparable performance management system.
- Exposure to leave of absence administration (FMLA, state-specific leave programs).
- Background in compensation benchmarking or participation in salary survey submissions.
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or other relevant HR certification (or active pursuit).
- Experience in a high-growth or mid-size company environment.
Compensation:
- $75,000 - $85,000 per year base salary
- A 5% annual bonus
- Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K plan
