Job Summary:

Ruggable is looking for a hands-on Technical Product Manager to join our Digital Product team on a 6-month contract. You'll embed directly into our Storefront team, owning delivery across two critical workstreams: keeping our eCommerce storefront running smoothly and leading a critical data quality initiative: migrating our web tagging infrastructure and cleaning up our web analytics stack. You'll partner closely with our Engineering, Data, and Analytics teams to define what good looks like and then deliver it - from requirements through validation. This is an IC role requiring someone equally comfortable writing a PRD and auditing a data layer.

What You'll Do:

  • Support day-to-day product delivery for our Shopify-based headless storefronts across multiple international markets (US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Australia)
  • Write detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria in partnership with Engineering and the eCommerce business team
  • Lead the end-to-end migration of our web tagging implementation - defining requirements, coordinating with Engineering on implementation, and validating data quality post-migration
  • Partner with the Data team to define tagging standards, event taxonomies, and data governance requirements
  • Get hands-on in analytics tools (e.g., Chord, Heap, GA4, Amplitude, MixPanel, or comparable platforms) to validate implementations and diagnose data issues - not just review dashboards, but interrogate the data
  • Serve as the connective tissue between Engineering, Data, and Analytics - translating business questions into technical instrumentation requirements and back again
  • Define and document a clean, scalable tagging taxonomy that can support attribution, product analytics, and BI reporting going forward

What You'll Need to Have:

Required:

  • 4+ years of technical product management experience - ideally in eCommerce or DTC -  with a meaningful focus on data, analytics, or event instrumentation
  • Strong command of Shopify - you understand the platform's architecture, limitations, and how to work effectively with developers building on it
  • Deep understanding of web tagging - event tracking, data layers, tag management systems (GTM or equivalent), and the distinction between client-side and server-side tagging
  • Hands-on experience with product analytics or BI tools (Heap, Amplitude, GA4, Chord, Sigma, Mixpanel, or similar)
  • Ability to identify and diagnose data quality issues - not just surface-level dashboard reads, but root cause analysis
  • Strong requirements writing skills - you can translate a fuzzy business question into a precise technical spec
  • Experience working with data or engineering teams in an agile environment
  • Comfortable working across international markets with multiple data sources and storefronts
  • Self-directed and collaborative in equal measure - you can identify what needs to be done and go do it, while keeping the right colleagues & stakeholders informed and bringing them along with you

Preferred:

  • Experience with a modern data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar)
  • Familiarity with eCommerce analytics - conversion funnels, session data, revenue attribution
  • Familiarity with multi-storefront Shopify setups
  • Prior work in a DTC or multi-market retail environment

Contract Details:

  • $80-$90/hr
  • 6 month contract
  • Hybrid, 3 days a week in LA
