About the Role

Rumble is seeking a Android Developer to join our team and help build high-quality, scalable Android applications. You will work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver performant and maintainable mobile experiences, with a strong focus on modern Android development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• Architect clean, scalable, and testable solutions following Clean Architecture principles
• Implement asynchronous and reactive programming using Coroutines and Flow
• Integrate dependency injection using Hilt/Dagger
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Ensure application performance, reliability, and code quality through best practices and reviews
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose
• Solid understanding of Clean Architecture
• Experience with Coroutines, Flow, and reactive programming patterns
• Strong experience using Hilt/Dagger for dependency injection

Nice-to-Have / Strong Plus

• Experience implementing video playback using ExoPlayer
• Background working on media or streaming applications
• Familiarity with performance optimization for media-heavy apps
• Knowledge of GraphQL

Annual Compensation Range: 

$140,000-$165,000 CAD base + benefits + equity

Note: The salary range listed for this position is a good faith estimate based on experience, qualifications, and internal compensation structure. The actual salary offered varies depending on the candidate's skill level and experience.
