Senior Product Manager

Remote, USA

The next trillion-dollar company will be built by a small team using AI. Runpod is the leading platform to build, run, and scale AI models. In 78 seconds, a developer can deploy an AI model to any of our 37 global data centers. More than 500,000 developers have chosen Runpod to power AI applications that will create new experiences for billions of people.

Runpod operates at the center of one of the fastest-growing markets in technology: AI infrastructure. As demand for AI compute continues to accelerate, customers need flexible, reliable, and cost-effective ways to deploy, manage, and scale AI workloads across increasingly complex infrastructure environments.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead core product initiatives that expand Runpod’s market opportunity, deepen customer adoption, and drive measurable business growth. This role is ideal for a product leader who combines strong customer empathy, analytical rigor, commercial judgment, and the ability to translate market insight into products that generate revenue, improve customer outcomes, and strengthen Runpod’s competitive position.

You will own the strategy, roadmap, and business performance of a high-impact product area within Runpod’s AI platform. You will define where we compete, how we win, which customers we serve, and how product investments translate into adoption, retention, revenue, and long-term platform value.

This is a highly cross-functional role working closely with Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Infrastructure, Finance, Partnerships, and company leadership. Success in this role will be measured not only by shipping product, but by your ability to make high-quality decisions using data, build conviction across the organization, and deliver clear business results.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute a multi-quarter product strategy for a high-impact area of Runpod’s AI infrastructure platform, directly tied to revenue growth, adoption, retention, gross margin, customer outcomes, and platform expansion.
  • Define the target market, customer segments, buyer personas, user personas, and ideal customer profile using customer research, product usage data, sales insights, competitive analysis, and market trends.
  • Build business cases for major product investments, including market opportunity, customer pain points, willingness to pay, competitive dynamics, adoption barriers, risks, and expected ROI.
  • Develop and manage a KPI-driven roadmap where every major initiative has a clear customer problem, business objective, success metric, leading indicator, and measurable impact.
  • Define, track, and report on key product and business metrics, including activation, conversion, usage growth, revenue contribution, retention, expansion, churn, compute utilization, gross margin, time-to-value, NPS, and feature engagement.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative data to guide product decisions, prioritize roadmap tradeoffs, evaluate launch performance, and continuously refine strategy.
  • Conduct frequent customer discovery with prospects, customers, partners, and internal go-to-market teams to identify scalable market opportunities and validate product direction.
  • Partner with Engineering, Design, and Infrastructure to deliver reliable, scalable, and intuitive platform capabilities that improve customer outcomes and support business growth.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, Partnerships, and Legal to drive go-to-market readiness, including positioning, pricing and packaging input, launch planning, enablement, onboarding, and expansion motions.
  • Communicate product strategy, business impact, roadmap progress, competitive insights, key risks, and tradeoffs clearly to executives, strategic customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means you are not simply shipping features. You are building a product area that produces measurable business results.

You will be expected to:

  • Define a clear product strategy tied to company-level growth objectives.
  • Identify and prioritize the highest-value customer and market opportunities.
  • Build a KPI framework that guides roadmap decisions and measures impact.
  • Launch product capabilities that improve adoption, retention, revenue, and customer outcomes.
  • Partner with go-to-market teams to improve positioning, pricing, sales enablement, and customer success.
  • Use data to make better decisions, challenge assumptions, and refine strategy.
  • Communicate clearly with executives, customers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Help Runpod strengthen its position as the leading AI infrastructure platform.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of product management experience, ideally owning a technical, infrastructure, developer platform, cloud, AI/ML, enterprise software, marketplace, or usage-based product.
  • Proven experience operating products at significant scale, ideally serving millions of users, hundreds of thousands of developers, large enterprise customers, or high-volume infrastructure workloads.
  • Demonstrated ability to make product decisions in scaled environments where reliability, performance, usability, cost efficiency, and customer trust are critical.
  • Strong business judgment with a track record of connecting product strategy to revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention, expansion, margin improvement, or operational efficiency.
  • Deep analytical capability, including experience defining KPIs, analyzing funnels, interpreting usage trends, evaluating cohorts, measuring launch impact, and using data to prioritize roadmap decisions.
  • Experience building business cases for product investments, including market sizing, customer segmentation, ROI analysis, adoption assumptions, competitive positioning, and financial impact.
  • Strong customer discovery skills, with the ability to engage prospects and customers, uncover business and technical pain points, and translate insights into scalable product opportunities.
  • Comfort operating in technical domains, with the ability to understand infrastructure concepts, APIs, developer workflows, cloud platforms, distributed systems, AI/ML workloads, or usage-based compute products.
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, Infrastructure, Legal, and executive teams to drive alignment and execution.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to craft clear strategy documents, executive narratives, roadmap updates, launch plans, and business cases in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
