Customer Marketing Manager

Remote, USA

Runpod is the foundational platform for developers to build and run custom AI systems that scale. With over 500,000 developers worldwide and an annual recurring revenue run rate exceeding $120M, Runpod operates at the intersection of developer velocity and production-scale AI. Founded in 2022, we’ve grown rapidly by building infrastructure purpose-built for modern AI workloads. Our platform enables teams to move from experimentation to deployment with flexibility across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments. As a remote-first, globally distributed company, we are building the infrastructure layer that powers the next generation of AI systems.

The Marketing team at Runpod is building the go-to-market engine for one of the fastest-growing AI infrastructure companies in the world. We are a lean, high-output group spanning brand, content, developer marketing, demand generation, and product marketing, reporting to the Head of Marketing. This role sits at the intersection of customer success, product marketing, and content. You’ll work closely with Sales, CS, and Product to turn customer wins into marketing assets that drive pipeline, accelerate deals, and build market credibility. We operate with high autonomy and a bias toward shipping.

Runpod is hiring a Customer Marketing Manager to own the full lifecycle of customer storytelling, reference management, and vertical-focused marketing programs. This is an early-to-mid career role for someone who is an exceptional writer, a natural relationship builder, and deeply organized. You will be the person who knows which customers are doing what, who we can talk to, and how to turn those stories into case studies, testimonials, event speakers, and sales enablement assets. You will produce at high volume, targeting 5+ published case studies per quarter while building the systems and relationships to sustain that pace. You will also begin to identify vertical and solution patterns across the customer base, helping Runpod sharpen its go-to-market around the industries and use cases where we win.

Your Impact: Customer proof is the single most underleveraged asset in Runpod’s GTM today. You will build the customer marketing function from scratch, creating a repeatable engine that turns happy customers into pipeline-generating content and references. Your case studies and customer narratives will directly influence deal velocity and win rates. Your vertical insights will shape how Runpod positions itself in new markets. This is a high-visibility role where your work shows up in sales decks, on the website, at events, and in board materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end case study production process: identify candidates, conduct interviews, write drafts, manage approvals, and publish. Target 5+ case studies per quarter across key verticals and use cases
  • Build and maintain a customer reference and advocacy database, tracking engagement level, willingness to participate, use case, vertical, and relationship owner across Sales, CS, and Product
  • Develop compelling customer narratives in multiple formats: written case studies, video testimonials, quote cards, blog features, event keynotes, and sales enablement one-pagers
  • Partner with Sales and CS to identify referenceable customers and coordinate outreach without overloading key accounts
  • Program-manage customer participation in events, webinars, analyst briefings, and co-marketing opportunities
  • Begin to identify vertical and solution-level patterns in the customer base (e.g., AI video, inference at scale, fine-tuning pipelines) and work with Product Marketing to develop targeted messaging and content for high-potential segments
  • Build a quarterly customer marketing calendar and maintain a clear pipeline of in-progress and upcoming stories
  • Track and report on customer marketing KPIs: case studies published, references sourced, customer content usage in pipeline, and win rate impact
  • Collaborate with Content and Design to ensure customer stories are high quality, on-brand, and distributed across the right channels
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customer champions, acting as a trusted point of contact between Runpod marketing and our user base

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in customer marketing, content marketing, or a related role at a B2B SaaS or technology company
  • Exceptional writing skills with a portfolio of published case studies, customer stories, or long-form content that demonstrates strong narrative ability
  • Proven ability to build rapport with customers and internal stakeholders, and to manage multiple relationships and projects simultaneously
  • Highly organized with strong program management instincts: you track details, hit deadlines, and keep complex processes moving without being asked
  • Self-starter who thrives with minimal direction; comfortable figuring out processes that don’t exist yet and building them as you go
  • Experience conducting customer interviews and translating technical conversations into clear, compelling stories for business and technical audiences
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce or HubSpot) and content management workflows
  • Successful completion of a background check

Preferred:

  • Experience in infrastructure, cloud, DevTools, or AI/ML markets
  • Familiarity with GPU compute, inference workloads, or the AI developer ecosystem
  • Experience with vertical marketing or industry-specific GTM strategies
  • Background in journalism, communications, or a writing-intensive discipline
  • Experience building customer advisory boards or reference programs from scratch
  • Video production experience or comfort directing customer testimonial shoots

Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
