Product Marketing Manager

Remote, USA

Runpod is the foundational platform for developers to build and run custom AI systems that scale. With over 500,000 developers worldwide and an annual recurring revenue run rate exceeding $120M, Runpod operates at the intersection of developer velocity and production-scale AI. Founded in 2022, we’ve grown rapidly by building infrastructure purpose-built for modern AI workloads. Our platform enables teams to move from experimentation to deployment with flexibility across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments. As a remote-first, globally distributed company, we are building the infrastructure layer that powers the next generation of AI systems.

You'll join the marketing team at a pivotal moment. Runpod is scaling from a product-led growth engine into a dual-motion company that also serves customers from startup to enterprise. The marketing team works cross-functionally to drive awareness, product adoption, and revenue across our full customer base.

This is a foundational role here at Runpod. You'll work at the intersection of product, marketing, and sales to ensure Runpod's GTM motion is sharp, defensible, and scalable. You'll be responsible for refining the narrative around why Runpod wins in the competitive neocloud market and how we differentiate as the AI infrastructure platform of choice.

You'll be a strategic voice that translates Runpod's differentiation into compelling narratives and educational content that drive awareness, adoption, and expansion. You'll work on full stack product marketing responsibilities, from positioning and messaging to launch strategy, competitive intelligence, sales enablement, customer insights, and middle-of-funnel content development.

This role uniquely combines strategic product marketing with hands-on content creation, deep competitive and market intelligence, all while operating in a lean, AI-enabled model. You'll apply and extend Runpod's messaging framework across product lines, campaigns and competitive programs – and you'll create the technical content that educates prospects, builds trust and accelerates buying decisions. You’ll leverage AI tools to scale output, maintain quality, and operate efficiently as part of a lean team. You need knowledge and the aptitude in marketing highly technical products and solutions such as understanding the AI infrastructure, AI/ML workflows, serverless architecture, and cloud economics, and being able to distill complex concepts into clear, relatable narratives that resonate with technical buyers and business decision-makers.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in technical B2B product marketing, is a strong writer who can create compelling long-form content, is proficient at leveraging AI to scale work, and has a track record of scaling GTM motions from product-led growth into larger deals.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply and extend Runpod's core positioning, messaging hierarchy, and value propositions across all product lines and customer touchpoints.
  • Own product line PMM including positioning refreshes, feature launches and ongoing messaging aligned to the core framework.
  • Partner with brand and demand gen teams to ensure messaging consistency across all channels (web, docs, sales, community).
  • Own competitive intelligence: track the neocloud market landscape, synthesise insights and translate them into actionable battlecards, GTM strategies and content.
  • Run a structured win/loss program, identify patterns and feed findings back into product, competitive and sales enablement.
  • Lead GTM execution for product launches, driving cross-functional alignment across product, marketing and sales for coordinated, high-impact releases.
  • Own campaign brief execution: develop and maintain briefs across key GTM motions in partnership with demand gen and content.
  • Own the sales enablement cadence: maintain and refresh battlecards, objection handling, one-pagers and sales decks as the competitive landscape and product evolve.
  • Create long-form technical content that educates prospects and accelerates buying decisions – comparison guides, technical explainers, ROI frameworks, use case deep-dives, architecture guides and competitive analyses.
  • Contribute to the SEO/GEO and inbound content strategy in partnership with the content team, with a focus on competitive and product line topics.
  • Build and operate AI-assisted workflows for competitive monitoring, brief generation and content production that scale output.
  • Conduct customer research (interviews, surveys, win/loss analysis) to understand buyer motivations, decision criteria, pain points and objections.
  • Synthesise product usage data, customer feedback and market signals to inform messaging, content strategy and product prioritisation.
  • Serve as a voice of the customer in internal strategy discussions, ensuring GTM and content decisions are grounded in real customer needs and market dynamics.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of product marketing experience in technical B2B or developer-focused companies.
  • Proven ability to create high-quality, long-form technical content that educates technical and business audiences, drives conversion, and influences pipeline.
  • Deep technical fluency: you can understand complex technical concepts (GPU infrastructure, AI/ML workflows, cloud economics, distributed systems, serverless architecture) and translate them into clear, accessible narratives.
  • Strong writing skills and storytelling ability: you're a confident writer who can produce polished, compelling content without heavy editing. You understand how to make technical topics engaging and relatable.
  • SEO and inbound marketing expertise: you understand keyword research, on-page optimization, content structure for search, and how to create content that ranks and converts.
  • Proven experience leveraging AI tools to scale content production, research, analysis, and workflows while maintaining quality and authentic voice.
  • Ability to operate in a lean model: you're resourceful, efficient, and comfortable wearing multiple hats to get things done without a large team.
  • Deep expertise in product-led growth and sales-assist motions, ideally with experience scaling a company from PLG into larger deals.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue impact through positioning, messaging, content, launches, and sales enablement in competitive, fast-moving markets.
  • Data-driven decision-making: you use metrics (engagement, conversion, pipeline influence, organic traffic, win rate, CAC:LTV) to inform strategy and measure content and GTM effectiveness.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and execution: you can diagnose GTM gaps, develop clear strategies, and ship high-quality work quickly.
  • Cross-functional leadership: you've successfully influenced product, sales, and marketing teams without direct authority.
  • Bias toward action and speed: you thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and prefer shipping over endless iteration.
  • Successful completion of a background check

Preferred:

  • Experience in cloud infrastructure, AI/ML platforms, GPU compute, or developer tools (especially serverless, infrastructure-as-a-service, or HPC environments).
  • Understanding of pricing dynamics, technical differentiation, competitive landscape, and buyer behavior in the neocloud space.
  • Experience working with technical communities (open source, AI/ML research, developer ecosystems) and translating community insights into GTM strategies and content.
  • Strong analytical and data skills: comfortable with SQL, analytics tools, and synthesizing product usage data and content performance into actionable insights.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
