Runwise is looking for a Territory Customer Success Manager who is highly motivated, results-oriented, and focused on business growth opportunities. This is a pivotal role responsible for helping grow new markets and collaborating heavily with our sales team reporting to the Director of Customer Success. 

Runwise (www.runwise.com) is a fast-paced, customer-focused climate-tech startup that controls and runs the key energy systems (heating, water, cooling etc…) in 7,000+ buildings throughout the US. Runwise’s unique hardware and software service significantly reduces energy usage, substantially lowering costs and carbon output. As of today, Runwise’s technology takes the equivalent of 100,000 cars worth of carbon emissions off the road each year.

As a Territory Customer Success Manager at Runwise you will have the opportunity to help grow Runwise’s footprint with the biggest building owners and property managers in the Chicagoland Area, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Boston and the Great Lakes and Mid Atlantic regions. This candidate will partner with our Territory Account Executives to help map out and network into existing key accounts to drive upsells. Each customer and each building has unique needs. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping customers effectively run their building's systems (heating, cooling, water, etc.) in an energy efficient way that makes tenants more comfortable and increases an accounts ROI. You will be responsible for building trusted relationships with each customer with an eye on their short and long term goals with Runwise.

 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Traveling to meet customers between 30-50% of the time
  • Assisting property managers, supers and owners with the Runwise platform 
  • Drafting and delivering savings analyses for existing customers 
  • Identifying ongoing opportunities for Runwise to further their relationship with the customer (upsells/cross-sells, onboarding net-new buildings, general advisement, etc.)
  • Proactively mitigating potential problems that may lead to reduced savings or a miss on customer goals 
  • Managing relationships with all parties that are interested in the Runwise product (supers, property managers, owners)
  • Constantly demonstrating first-class communication, organization and time management and customer service skills to develop long-lasting relationships with customers
  • Helping senior leadership build, test and scale a Territory channel within the CS department

Who you are:

  • You have 3-4 years of direct customer management experience in a Customer Success or Account Management role with a focus on new markets
  • You have demonstrated excellence in building and scaling new initiatives
  • You have excellent social and communication skills and find it easy to get along with others
  • You thrive by building long-term relationships and partnering with a range of customers from individual business owners to C-level executives
  • You are a problem solver and can diagnose and help troubleshoot problems quickly and efficient
  • You are a teacher at heart (or by profession) with the ability to distill technical or complex systems into simpler concepts to empower customers
  • You are willing and capable of working very hard and at times longer hours during peak season (winter)
  • You are passionate about real estate and/or energy efficiency

Salary including on target earnings: $110,000-$130,000 OTE (varied on experience/market rate)
