Director of Sales
Runwise is looking for a Director of Sales to manage our growth in New York City and the greater Tri State Area. This person will be responsible for leading a team of Account Executives and Business Development professionals towards exceeding our lofty sales targets. Day to day will be dynamic around leading funnel reviews, team standups, trainings, and key deal support. This person will also be responsible for aggregating opportunities and challenges faced by their team of sellers, and formulating broader company initiatives to help sustain growth.
Runwise (www.runwise.com) is a fast-paced, customer-focused climate-tech startup that controls and runs the key energy systems (heating, water, etc…) in 10,000+ buildings throughout the US. Runwise’s unique hardware and software service significantly reduces energy usage, substantially lowering costs and carbon output. As of today, Runwise’s technology takes the equivalent of 100,000 cars worth of carbon emissions off the road each year.
As a DIRECTOR OF SALES you will own the majority of our sales number and work with our most senior sellers. You’ll need to think strategically and collaborate with our SVP of Sales, Director of Sales Ops, Director of Channel Sales, Chief Growth Officer and CEO on the most pressing initiatives within our rapidly scaling business.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Driving maximum revenue from our tri state area sellers
- Running weekly funnel reviews and deal strategy sessions
- Organizing and running monthly initiatives that give the team the best possible chance of exceeding goals
- Working cross functionally with partnerships, marketing and ops to ensure sellers deal volume and velocity
- Keeping a tight grasp on key metrics (deal flow, win rate, deal size, deal speed) and putting together proactive gap plans to course correct any drop offs
Who you are:
- You have worked 5+ years of quota carrying sales experience and 2+ years as a manager or team lead. You have a track record of beating targets
- You can motivate a team and put together a compelling plan for how each rep will exceed numbers and develop their career and craft
- You have great knowledge of consultative selling and can be a valuable partner with the reps on deal strategy
- You ideally have real estate experience and a deep network of contacts within the industry
- You are skilled in CRM software, ideally Salesforce
- You have strong analytical and problem solving skills
Salary range: On Target Earnings of $250,000 - $300,000 (Uncapped Commission) based on experience level
