Growth Marketing Manager

New York (Remote)

We’re looking for a Growth Marketing Manager to build and run Runwise’s demand engine. This is a hands-on role focused on generating meetings and MQLs through outbound experimentation, inbound quality improvement, and sharp messaging. You’ll be directly measured on results, not activity.

Runwise (www.runwise.com) is a fast-paced, customer-focused climate-tech startup that controls and runs the key energy systems (heating, water, etc…) in 10,000+ buildings throughout the US. Runwise’s unique hardware and software service significantly reduces energy usage, substantially lowering costs and carbon output. As of today, Runwise’s technology takes the equivalent of 100,000 cars worth of carbon emissions off the road each year.

What you'll do:

  • Build and own an always-on outbound marketing engine that consistently books meetings for Sales
  • Identify where our buyers are, how they think, and what messaging converts them
  • Work with Engineering and Sales Ops to scrape, enrich, and segment prospect lists by ICP and territory
  • Design and run continuous A/B tests on 1:1 cold email copy and hooks (compliance deadlines, new role triggers, competitive displacement, ROI pain points, etc.)
  • Architect an AI-assisted outbound system that continuously tests, learns, and improves performance
  • Ensure all outbound programs are compliant with email and data regulations
  • Own MQL generation across inbound and outbound channels and be goaled on meetings booked
  • Partner with our ads agency to improve inbound lead quality, conversion rates, and overall lead flow
  • Improve website conversion through copy testing, module changes, CTA optimization, and landing page experiments
  • Lead the creation of territory playbooks to launch and scale city- and state-level GTM motions
  • Run ABM-style experiments by warming selected account lists through digital and/or out-of-home campaigns and measuring uplift in conversion from brand presence and familiarity
  • Build territory- and vertical-specific landing pages with tailored messaging
  • Write high-performing copy across cold email, landing pages, ads, and core website flows
  • Own and optimize the GTM tool stack and reporting to clearly track performance, learnings, and ROI
  • Partner closely with Sales to improve meeting quality and conversion to pipeline

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years in growth marketing, demand generation, or revenue-focused marketing
  • A growth-hacking mindset with a bias toward experimentation, speed, and ownership
  • Exceptional copywriting ability — this role lives and dies by messaging
  • Strong operational and analytical skills with comfort owning systems end to end
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, RevOps, Engineering, and agencies
  • Obsession with metrics, learning, and continuous improvement

Nice to Have:

  • Experience building AI-driven or automated outbound systems
  • B2B SaaS background (bonus for proptech, energy, or climate tech)
  • Experience launching territory-based or city-by-city GTM motions

What you believe:

  • No job is too small.
  • Sincerity builds trust.
  • Setbacks fuel progress.
  • Efficiency is vital.

Before you apply to this job you must:

  • Cold email our founder Lee Hoffman (who is inundated with email) and get him to read your email and agree to an interview.
  • Be able to describe what you would do differently with our content or email programs to amplify results.
  • Along with your resume please include 5 emails you wrote that you think best illustrate your ability to write incredibly compelling, interesting and/or effective emails.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 based on experience

Benefits:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • HSA & FSA options
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Access to Talkspace & Health Advocate
  • Flexible PTO
  • Commuter Benefits
  • 401K
  • Company paid life insurance
  • Voluntary supplemental life insurance
  • Free in-office lunch on Wednesdays
  • Hybrid work environment
  • Summer Fridays
  • Monthly L&D Series
  • Employee Resource Groups (e.g. DEIB Committee, Run Club)
  •

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing company, one of the true leaders within energy efficiency in the Northeast. You will be surrounded by talented people, including working very closely with our co-founder and sales leader. Your success will also make a tangible impact on reducing carbon emissions across the country, within the cities where we operate.

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
