RVi is looking for a Landscape Designer to join our Denver office. This is an early-career opportunity on our landscape architecture team, ideally suited for someone with approximately 1–3 years of professional experience.

In this role, you’ll work alongside project leadership to support project design, development, and documentation throughout the different phases of a project. You’ll also help prepare, coordinate, and assemble project documents as directed by project leadership. Our Denver team works across both landscape architecture and planning, so an interest in gaining exposure to planning projects is strongly encouraged.

Essential Functions

  • Use AutoCAD and related software to complete assignments on time and in line with standards outlined in the RVi Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manual.
  • Support the RVi standard design process.
  • Assist with drafting documents and computations, including opinions of probable cost.
  • May assist with landscape architecture and planning-related project assignments based on experience and project needs.
  • May assist with the coordination of project subconsultants and clients.
  • Assist with the preparation of construction-related services.
  • Assist with agreement preparation.
  • May assist with completing site visits as required.
  • May participate in site walks, including project closeouts and related procedures.
  • Communicate with the Project Manager about workload, schedules, and tasks to help meet designated chargeability goals.
  • Follow RVi QA/QC protocols and established standards.
  • Support project compliance with applicable national, state, and local standards and requirements.

Experience or knowledge related to:

  • AutoCAD
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Revit and/or Lumion
  • Microsoft Office
  • Written and verbal communication, including technical writing
  • Planning and/or land planning experience is a plus

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture preferred.
  • Undergraduate degrees in related fields may be considered with completion of an accredited Master’s program and/or the required equivalent experience working under a licensed Landscape Architect.

Qualifications

  • Approximately 1–3 years of professional landscape architecture, design, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to apply fundamental design concepts to practical situations using your educational background and/or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with Project Managers and other members of the project team.
  • Ability to complete and/or correct design documentation.
  • Interest in supporting both landscape architecture and planning-related projects.
  • Ability to move about the office and project sites as needed.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,000–$74,000 annually. Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors.
