
Audiovisual Specialist

Position Summary
Level Ten is a premium conference center, event venue, and content production destination located within the iconic Starrett-Lehigh Building in Manhattan. Designed to deliver exceptional hospitality through innovative technology and thoughtfully designed spaces, Level Ten hosts executive meetings & conferences, receptions, podcasts, and branded experiences for leading organizations.
The Audiovisual Operations Specialist serves as the primary technical lead for all events ensuring every client receives a seamless, white-glove experience from pre-event through event completion.
This position combines service, technology, and live event production. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional client experiences, thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving technical challenges, and takes pride in creating flawless event execution.
The Audiovisual Operations Specialist partners closely with the Sales, Operations, Hospitality, Facilities, and Building teams to prepare meeting spaces, operate integrated AV systems, support presenters, maintain technology infrastructure, and continuously elevate Level Ten’s event experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Event Operations & Technical Production
- Partner with Sales and Operations to plan and execute meetings, conferences, podcasts, livestreams, and special events.
- Consult with clients to define technical requirements and develop production plans, run-of-show documents, and event workflows.
- Prepare, test, and operate audiovisual systems, including presentation technology, audio, video, lighting, recording, livestream, and hybrid meeting platforms.
- Provide white-glove technical support to presenters, executives, and clients, ensuring seamless event execution and an exceptional guest experience.
- Support podcast and studio productions, including studio setup, recording, lighting, audio capture, and livestream operations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues in real time to minimize disruptions and maintain production quality.
- Manage AV equipment, inventory, preventative maintenance, vendor coordination, and technical workspaces to ensure operational readiness.
- Support conference center technology, including digital signage, room scheduling systems, and emerging event technologies.
Hospitality & Client Experience
- Serve as the technical ambassador for Level Ten throughout every event.
- Anticipate client needs before issues arise.
- Provide clear communication with clients before, during, and after events.
- Build strong relationships with repeat clients, presenters, agencies, and production partners.
- Deliver service that reflects Level Ten’s commitment to premium hospitality.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of audiovisual or event technology experience supporting meetings, conferences, hotels, hospitality venues, or conference centers.
- Experience operating integrated AV systems in live event environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience supporting hybrid meetings and web conferencing platforms.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays based on event schedules.

- Knowledge of conference center operations and corporate meeting environments
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move audiovisual equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work throughout event spaces for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in production environments with changing schedules and multiple concurrent events.

Pay Range
$75,000 - $85,000 USD
