
Art Summer Intern - 2026

Job Summary
Join RXR’s Summer Internship Program as an Art Intern and gain hands-on experience supporting the management and documentation of RXR’s art collection across its portfolio. This role will focus on cataloging artwork, implementing a new cataloging system, and helping establish consistent processes for tracking and maintaining art assets across properties.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of real estate, design, and asset management while contributing to a high-impact initiative that enhances the tenant and visitor experience across RXR’s properties.
Responsibilities
Art Collection Cataloging & Documentation
- Conduct a comprehensive inventory of artwork across RXR properties
- Catalog artwork details including artist, medium, dimensions, condition, and location
- Photograph and digitally document artwork for centralized records
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of all catalog entries
System Implementation & Data Management
- Support the rollout and implementation of RXR’s new art cataloging system
- Input, organize, and maintain data within the system
- Assist in developing standardized processes for ongoing catalog maintenance
- Identify opportunities to improve data structure, usability, and reporting
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with Property Management, Construction, and Development teams to locate and verify artwork
- Assist with coordination of artwork moves, installations, or updates as needed
- Support communication across teams to ensure alignment on art-related initiatives

Experience and Education
- Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Art, Art History, Architecture, Design, Real Estate, or a related field
- Strong interest in art management, collections, or design within the built environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); experience with databases or cataloging systems is a plus
Dates and Hours:
- The 10-week 2026 Summer Internship Program runs from June 1st through August 7th.
- Our hours of operation are 9:00 – 5:15, Monday – Thursday and 9:00 - 1:00pm on Friday.
- Due to the short nature of this internship, absences are expected to be kept to a minimum and will be subject to Manager’s approval.
Compensation/Benefits:
- Our undergraduate interns are paid $20 hourly, and our graduate interns are paid $25 in addition to benefits including medical, dental, vision and more. Overtime requires pre-approval and may be capped.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member's base salary/rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g. location, years of service, specialty, education, relevant experience).
Bonus eligible.
Pay Range
$20 - $25 USD
