Production Support Engineer

Position Summary:

 

The Production Support Engineer will be part of a small, cross-functional, autonomous team, collaborating with technical, operational and client-facing colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve critical issues with our enterprise platform and related processes, applications and services.

 

You will have the primary responsibility for triaging, investigating and troubleshooting reported issues with the platform, and assisting with the resolution and development of recommendations for short-term and long-term remediation. You will ensure the triage and investigation is methodical, comprehensive, timely and accurate; and provide quality testing of solutions which conform with organizational policies, procedures and standards for software development and data governance.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Work closely with operations and account management to diagnose and respond quickly to issues for our users and solve them in a permanent and scalable way
  • Partner with product management and software engineering to collaborate on the needs of our users to help them build a product roadmap that serves those needs
  • Interact competently with Infrastructure, DevOps, DBA, InfoSec, Data Engineering and other teams across multiple environments to produce and deliver safe and effective queries while maintaining data and platform integrity
  • Articulate a technical vision for a more enlightened way of working and work with multi-functional partners to deliver that vision
  • Provide hands-on testing and/or a thorough review of proposed solutions to ensure top quality and timely remediation

 

 

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • BS in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding, or equivalent technical experience
  • 1 plus years of industry experience in a technical support, software development or software quality assurance testing role
  • Experience supporting SaaS products, bulk data ingestion and ETL tools, web applications, micro-services or BI/Analytics platforms preferred
  • Desire to grow outside of technical comfort zone, give and receive and constructive criticism
  • Enthusiasm for technology, and an aptitude for learning and using new technologies
  • Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies, preferably both Scrum and Kanban
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian solutions including JIRA and Confluence (or similar collaboration suite)
  • Working knowledge of C#, .NET, Visual Studio, MVC (or demonstrable skills in another equivalent stack).
  • Working knowledge of relational databases (MS SQL Server or similar), NoSQL databases (MongoDB or similar) and data warehouse solutions (SnowFlake or similar).
  • Working knowledge of AWS offerings such as EC2, ALBs, RDS, Beanstalk and API Gateway.
  • Working knowledge of log management tools such as Loggly for troubleshooting and analytics to find event details, identify usage patterns and find anomalies.

Salary Range: 57,000 - 75,000
