Position Summary:  The Pricing Analyst role is analytical, technical, and collaborative in nature. In a multi-disciplinary, cross functional role, the Pricing Analyst will report to the Director, Pricing & Underwriting. The Pricing Analyst is key contributor to RxSense’s Direct to Consumer (DTC) and Enterprise Platform Solutions (EPS) lines of business, assisting with pricing analysis, financial reporting, process improvement, as well as new business development and client retention efforts.

The role is responsible for supporting claims repricing efforts, to include claims file formatting and ingestion through RxSense’s internal analytics solution, as well as formatting and delivering client output reports. Additionally, the role will support maintenance of RxSense Cash, Funded and Specialty contract tables that drive pricing outputs. The role will work closely with the Client Success and RFP team to support RFP pricing efforts for new and existing business, ensuring all aspects of pricing/underwriting are accurately captured and documented. The role will also work closely with the Trade Operations team to ensure trade and rebate projections are aligned with our overall pricing strategy.

The Pricing Analyst will assist with the ad hoc reporting and analysis needs as it relates to DTC and EPS business functions. This will include working collaboratively with EPS and DTC pricing leaders to ensure that pricing decisions are in line with overarching enterprise-level goals. The Pricing Analyst will be expected to be able to communicate their findings and decisions effectively to senior management periodically. The Pricing Analyst will work closely with the Director, Pricing & Underwriting to continue to develop and enhance internal pricing analytics solutions as industry and client needs evolve. The successful Pricing Analyst will possess the necessary skills to analyze and interpret pharmacy spend data, the ability to multi-task, serve as a team player, and adapt to the rapidly changing needs of the business. This critical and high visibility role will support internal and external stakeholders which directly impacts the growth of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Update the underwriting model based on client specific requirements; assess financial implications of new business and account renewal opportunities.
  • Participate in, coordinate with, and communicate to internal stakeholders the conclusions of financial assessments of new business and account renewal opportunities.
  • Act as Point of Contact for Client Success Managers to resolve pricing issues.
  • Lead the production and delivery of pricing and ad-hoc reports for RxSense customers and prospects to demonstrate the financial value of the RxSense offering
  • Management and maintenance of reference data for Cash and Funded line of business but not limited to Network Pricing, Specialty Lists, and Product/MAC Pricing
  • Assist in and provide business guidance to the Innovation Team as it relates to further development of the RxIQ Reprice Expediter
  • Analyze data to create observations, identify and troubleshoot issues, and provide financial impact
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert as needed to ensure all internal stakeholders agree and understand overarching pricing strategy and impact
  • Complete financial requirements related to RFPs and RFIs.
  • Participate in the client contracting and network development/management process.
  • Document and track day-to-day pricing and underwriting activities relate to growth and retention.
  • Support sales pipeline reporting through maintenance of Product pricing by Account in Salesforce
  • Cross functionally support the overarching organizational goals through collaboration with other internal departments, to include but not limited to: Legal, RFP, Finance, Trade Operations, Marketing, Client Success, & Network Ops

Qualifications:  

  •  Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of pharmacy pricing experience is preferred

Salary Range: 74,000 - 90,000
