Your Mission

As a Public Sector Bid Manager at SADA, an Insight Company, you will manage and oversee SADA’s public sector bid process. The Public Sector Bid Manager plays a critical role in the company's success by leading the development and submission of high-quality proposals and bids for new public sector business opportunities. You will work closely with sales teams, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate bid submissions that effectively communicate the company's value proposition to potential clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and qualify bid opportunities --Research and identify potential public sector contracts within target markets. Analyze RFPs and RFQs to determine feasibility and profitability.
  • Manage the bid process -- Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external teams (e.g., sales, operations, legal, finance) to ensure timely and accurate proposal submissions
  • Develop winning proposals -- Lead the development of compelling and persuasive proposals that effectively address client requirements and demonstrate the value proposition of our services.
  • Track and analyze bid performance -- Monitor bid progress, analyze win/loss data, and identify areas for improvement in the bid process.
  • Deal support -- Understand the public sector partner programs and provide deal guidance on requirements programs and identify escalations
  • Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills with a partner, channel and/or public sector background that enables them to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges. Candidates should also have a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with a wide variety of companies and with internal sales teams.

Expectations

  • Required Travel - 10% travel to customer sites, partner offices, conferences, and other related events across the US and Canada. 
  • Customer Facing - You will interact with partners on a regular basis, sometimes daily, other times weekly/bi-weekly. You can expect to interact with a range of stakeholders, including partner managers, sales reps, engineers, technical project managers, and executives.
  • Onboarding/Training - The first several weeks of onboarding are dedicated to learning and will encompass learning materials/assignments and compliance training, as well as meetings with relevant individuals. Details of the timeline are shared closer to the start date. 

Job Requirements

Required Credentials:

  • BA/BS degree required

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in proposal writing, bid management, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of cloud computing technologies (Google Cloud Platform preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to drive strong RFP responses and working with cross-functional teams to develop solutions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proven track record of success in securing new business through competitive bidding processes.
  • Experience articulating the value proposition of technology products and/or services
  • Highly organized self-starter who excels with limited direction
  • Energetic and collaborative team player 
  • Highly reliable, ensuring deliverables are achieved within key deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of public procurement regulations and procedures preferred.

Useful Qualifications:

  • Strong familiarity with Google Cloud Public Sector is a plus.
