Join SADA as a Senior Workspace Deployment Engineer!

Your Mission 

As a Senior Workspace Deployment Engineer at SADA, you will work collaboratively with architects, change managers, and project managers to efficiently and successfully execute on the deployment of Google Workspace to an organization. You are able to understand and configure Google Workspace in the best manner for the Customer’s use cases and effectively train Customer admins on the Google Workspace admin capabilities and any configured integrations. You will work with project managers to identify risks to the quality of the project as well as any potential additional engagements. You’re also hands-on, able to comprehensively test/troubleshoot and build functioning prototypes that prove out ideas and build confidence in the solutions you advocate. 

You will be an established contributor within SADA and will develop a reputation with Customers as well as internal teams for the quality of your work. You will demonstrate repeated delivery of successful migrations and overall good quality projects. You work well with your internal project teams and communicate with your team members the status of project tasks. 

Expectations

Required Travel - 10% travel to Customer sites, conferences, and other related events.

Customer Facing - This is a very Customer-facing role. You will usually interact with Customers on a daily basis. You will participate in Customer meetings to guide the Customer through this transition and complete project tasks. You will present prototypes and create slideshows and documentation to build trust, confidence and consensus both externally and internally.

Training - Ongoing with first week orientation managed by PeopleOps, followed by a 90 day department specific onboarding schedule.

Job Requirements

Required Credentials:

Google Professional Workspace Administrator Certified and Google Workspace Certified, or able to complete within the first 45 days of employment 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Expertise in at least three of the following domain areas:
    • Fundamental Email Concepts: Understanding of mail exchanger and DNS records, platform concepts available in Exchange/O365, spam and antivirus products, mail routing functionalities
    • Active Directory: Provisioning and lifecycle concepts within Active Directory. 
    • Identity Management: building an IDM model with Google Cloud Identity/ Okta/ADFS/Azure as the IDP for GSuite and other applications .
    • Mail Migrations: migration of mail objects from an organization’s mail platform to Google Workspace. Understanding the steps and processes which are considered best practice according to Google methodology.  
    • SharePoint Concepts: understanding the administration of SharePoint and its different use cases, being able to translate SharePoint use cases to use cases within Google Workspace, and based on those use cases what items could be migrated. 
    • Okta SSO & LCM: building an IDM model with OKTA specifically as the identity source or using an HRIS system as the source for identity. 
    • AODocs Workflow Management: ability to build new workflows or translate workflows from legacy systems to AODocs workflows. 
  • Hands-on experience with Google Workspace
  • Understanding of security and networking pertaining to Google Workspace.
  • Ability to lead an in-depth client meeting/workshop across a broad range of topics including discovery, cloud compliance and security.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with and communicate complex technical concepts to a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with traditional on-premises and enterprise mail and collaboration technologies.
  • Understanding of best practices, design patterns and reference architectures with an uncanny ability to recommend these as needed.
  • Experience working with engineering teams.
  • Experience producing technical assets or writing technical documentation, including, but not limited to, architecture designs and documentation.
  • Time management with the ability to manage multiple streams.

Useful Qualifications:

  • Direct experience working with a variety of cloud technologies such as AODocs, Okta, BetterCloud, CloudM, as well as designing and recommending elegant solutions that drive business outcomes.
  • Direct experience with ChromeOS. 
  • Ability to develop scripts in Python, Javascript, or Google Apps Script. 
  • Ability to recommend cloud-native approaches to solve Customer business and technical challenges.
