Emergency Response Rescue Technician, TX

Safety Worxs is seeking an Experienced Emergency Response Rescue Technician to assist on a semi conductor project. Must have at least 5 years of experience in emergency rescue. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys non-stop, fast-paced environments vs "standby rescue"

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a thorough evaluation of the confined space and elevated work areas to identify potential risks, including atmospheric hazards, fall risks, and structural integrity concerns.
  • Pre and Post-permit required confined space rescue paperwork.
  • Execute confined space rescue operations in accordance with OSHA, ANSI, and other applicable safety regulations.
  • Continuously monitor and assess confined space environments to identify hazards and ensure safe conditions for all personnel.
  • Inspect, maintain, and operate specialized rescue equipment, ensuring readiness for rapid emergency deployment.
  • Coordinate with rescue team members, site personnel, and emergency services to ensure safe and effective rescue execution.
  • Remain on-call and prepared to respond to emergencies swiftly, delivering efficient, high-quality rescue support.
  • Conduct regular confined space and fall rescue drills to ensure the team is prepared to respond quickly and effectively in real-world scenarios. 

Qualifications: 

  • 5 years minimum experience
  • OSHA 30
  • EMR/ EMT
  • CPR/AED Certified 
  • NFPA 1006 standards
  • Certified rope rescue
  • Certified confined space rescue
  • Excavation / trench rescue
  • Fall protection competent

Equipment Competency:

  • Mechanical advantage hardware including - single and double pulleys, CMC clutch 
  • SKEDCO
  • Rescue litter
  • Stair chair
  • Rescue crane basket
  • Emergency response vehicle 
  • 5x - 6x gas monitoring 

Preferred:

  • Structural Collapse Rescue Technician 
  • Certified:
    • IRATA
    • SPRAT
    • TEEX
  • IFSAC or Pro Board Accredited Certifications:
    • Confined Space Rescue: Awareness, Operations, or Technician
    • High Angle Rope Rescue: Awareness, Operations, or Technician
    • Low Angle Rope Rescue: Awareness, Operations, or Technician
  • Hazardous Materials Response:
    • FRA (First Responder Awareness)
    • FRO (First Responder Operations)
    • FRT NFPA 470 (First Responder Technician)
