Safety Coordinator, CA

Safety Worxs is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Professional to support a large-scale heavy civil infrastructure project in Central California. This role requires a strong field presence and the ability to lead safety efforts in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and enforce site-specific safety programs in alignment with OSHA standards
  • Conduct daily jobsite inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits
  • Identify unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions
  • Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and workforce engagement initiatives
  • Support incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Monitor high-risk activities (excavation, heavy equipment, lifting operations, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting
  • Collaborate with project leadership and subcontractors to reinforce safety expectations

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of construction safety experience
  • Heavy civil construction experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards
  • CHST, or CHSO certification or safety-related college degree
  • Strong communication and field leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced construction environment

  • Local to central California
