Go-To-Market Intern ( Summer 2025)

Sagard ($25B AUM investment firm) is seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for research, marketing, and sales, and a curiosity about business to join our team as a Go-To-Market Analyst Intern in Toronto or New York. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our Value Creation Team, which delivers marketing and sales support to our portfolio companies through long-term engagements, workshops, and playbooks.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the creation of original research, thought leadership, and playbooks focused on key marketing and sales topics (e.g., Sales Compensation, Media Measurement & Attribution) for Chief Marketing Officers (CMOs) and Chief Revenue Officers (CROs) across our venture (~65%) and private equity (~35%) portfolio companies.
- Drive the expansion of our ecosystem by identifying and vetting vendors and partners with specialized expertise to support the growth of our portfolio companies.
- Act as a thought partner to the Value Creation Team, assisting in workshops and longer-term consulting engagements with CMOs and CROs where appropriate.
- Contribute to event planning efforts, including hosting roundtables and organizing our annual conference (e.g., program development, speaker sourcing, guiding discussions, and post-event follow-up) to facilitate the sharing of best practices among executive leadership.
- Analyze and visualize data, and create compelling decks to communicate insights and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Strong interest in Venture Capital, Growth Equity, or Private Equity
- Hustle, Entrepreneurial spirit—This is an operating role, not an investing role, and with a heavy emphasis on Seed through Series D portfolio companies and lower middle market software given the makeup of our portfolio
- Strong academic record
- Authorized to work in Canada or the United States.
