As our Senior Global Payroll Administrator (for US and India employees), you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of Sagent’s global compensation and payroll operations. Reporting to the Director of Total Rewards, this role will give you high visibility throughout the Company and the opportunity to be part of a growing FinTech organization. Your Day-to-Day at Sagent:

  • Collects, audits, and enters payroll information according to established payroll cut-off and processing schedules for the US location using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Manage the payroll process for the India location and ensure timely processing of payroll.
  • Respond to and resolves any inquiries regarding compensation, paychecks or payroll reporting.
  • Coordinate closely with Sagent’s global payroll partner (ADP/Celergo) to ensure adequate planning of the Company’s India payroll.
  • Support US and global tax filing requirements. Monitor and resolve tax issues in a timely manner.
  • Partner with People Operations and Finance to streamline processes for obtaining payroll inputs in a standardized, timely manner to ensure complete and accurate payroll processing.
  • Collaborate with management and People Operations in analysis and review of job classification and reclassification requests and management of the job architecture.
  • Improve existing processes where possible.
  • Remain current on the payroll processing system and changes in wage and tax laws.
  • Regularly audit data for accuracy. Work with internal and external auditors to pull reports and provide requested documentation.
  • Assess and perform analysis on salary market data for US and India workforce, and prepare salary and variable pay data to facilitate compensation structures and functions.
  • Prepare compensation statements and agreements, including sales compensation.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in compensation and payroll including global payroll tax administration (US and India)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting/Finance or relevant discipline with 4 - 6 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. 2+ years’ experience using ADP Workforce Now for Payroll processing
  • Prior experience processing US and India payroll required
  • Prior experience in compensation analysis strongly preferred
  • Prior experience preparing compensation statements and agreements required
  • Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Excel spreadsheets
  • Knowledgeable in US and India wage and tax laws
  • CPP certification preferred
  • Team player and problem-solving mentality
