About the Opportunity: Sagent is seeking an Agile Scrum Master to coordinate, execute and drive the timely delivery of software solutions projects. The individual will support both Scrum methodology and Waterfall and potentially lead one or more workstreams. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple releases for a solution that will be used by lenders and servicers in the consumer and mortgage lending markets in the United States. As an Agile Scrum Master, you are also responsible for coaching on the elements of project execution as well as supporting the creation of standards, processes and procedures, facilitating meetings, and working with product owner(s) to make sure product backlog is refined and ready for the next sprint. 

Our team will provide you with the best tools, and resources to get the job done…and enjoy every minute of it. Team members would be required to travel to the Sagent Lewisville (or nearby office) a minimum of 3 days a week or greater as needed. 

Your Day-to-Day responsibilities at Sagent include but not limited to: 

  • Work with project team to establish project requirements through key stakeholders 
  • Align project deliverables to one or more Sprints / Releases. 
  • Work with project teams to divide work into manageable Stories and Tasks, so that the cost and completion date of the project can be forecasted. 
  • Develop the baseline project plan/ charter and schedule/incorporate multiple project plans into one overall project plan against which the impact of potential scope changes on schedule, budget, and performance requirements is evaluated. 
  • Evaluate reasonableness of the schedule, ensures that work is accomplished, validate that resources are used as planned and update the schedule as the project progresses. 
  • Collaborate with other Scrum Masters / Project Managers and Product Owners to align priorities and dependencies. 
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify dependencies and potential risks, addressing them proactively. 
  • Manage team capacity to ensure delivery of work items aligns with available capacity. 

Communication Management 

  • Facilitate Backlog Grooming, Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, Refinement, Retrospective and other Agile ceremonies. 
  • Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and define user stories and technical tasks and communicate milestones and release targets. 
  • Maintain and prioritize the backlog, considering dependencies, complexity, and business value with guidance from domain owners. 
  • Develop and execute communication plan, including format and content of communication (e.g. meeting, presentation, email, etc.), audiences (e.g. execs, sponsor/champion, team members, other stakeholders, etc.), schedule/periodicity for optimum effectiveness. 
  • Create project status reports and metrics. 
  • Ability to focus message on exceptions, decisions/input sought and health of project and deliverables. 
  • Support implementation of standards, processes, and procedures. 

Position Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 7 years’ of related software delivery management / project management in a technical capacity 
  • Business domain knowledge of Mortgage Originations or Mortgage Servicing a major plus.Must have Scrum (primary) and Kanban knowledge, Waterfall and SAFe experience a plus. 
  • Use of Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, Monday, Smartsheet, MS project or other Project Management platforms. 
  • Be well versed in navigating through the team boards, reviewing tasks, assignments, States, Stories and task structures including Acceptance Criteria, order of priority, build dashboards, track critical metrics for managing team’s performance. 
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge and experience of project and release delivery management principles and techniques. Solid understanding and experience in requirements/scope management and milestone management. 
  • Experience with using metrics to track Team and Release progress. 
  • Ability to create and manage project / Sprint and Increment schedules. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage on-time, within budget delivery of complex projects involving multiple releases. 
  • Ability to multi-task and manage several on-going releases at various stages. 
  • Exceptional ability to present concise and accurate information to team members, staff, peers, leadership, vendors, customers, etc. 
  • Ability to act as liaison between users/clients and the project team. 
  • PMP and/or Scrum Master Certifications a plus
