VP Product Management        

Overview:  

As the Vice President of Product Management, you will be a key leader responsible for shaping and executing our product strategy for our Dara compliance products ensuring we are adhering to all applicable regulatory, legal, and industry standards. Leveraging your extensive experience and strategic vision, you will define clear goals and visions for new and existing products, develop compelling roadmaps, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product implementation. Your day-to-day at Sagent:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Product Management team, guiding the development and execution of the product strategy.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for new products and enhancements to existing products.

Product Strategy Development:

  • Develop and execute product hypotheses for users, defining clear goals and visions for existing and new products. 
  • Define a framework for customers and stakeholders, developing compelling roadmaps that outline the process, timeline, and build for product implementation.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional integration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product design, compliance, legal, engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and successful execution of product strategies. 
  • Conduct technology assessments and collaborate with product design and development teams to deliver per established plans. 
     Leverage industry expertise to lead discovery sessions and convert business requirements into agile stories and ensure timely delivery.

Risk Management and Mitigation:

  • Identify critical interdependencies among elements that impact product performance and apply this knowledge to achieve customer solutions.
  • Identify and document the purpose and scope of products from a technological perspective, including stakeholder identification, market assessment, target demographics, and requirements definition.

Team Management and Development:

  • Lead and mentor the Product Management teams, providing guidance, coaching, and support for professional development.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, pay reviews, training, and development initiatives for the team. 

We would love to hear from you if you have: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Product Management, and/or related field with 10+ years of experience in Product Management 
  • Expert knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, standards, and frameworks (e.g., CFPB, FDIC, GDPR, etc.) 
  • 10+ years of experience in mortgage loan servicing in areas such as cash processing, escrow, investor accounting, special loans, and default. 
  • Extensive experience in managing product strategy and development in a fast-paced environment. 
  • 6+ years of experience working on an Agile team in SaaS product management. 
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly. 
  • Strong leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving products to completion. 
  • Analytical mindset, comfortable using data to inform decision-making and product improvements. 
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%).
