About the Opportunity:
The Site Reliability Engineer II is dedicated to ensuring the operational health of the company's systems and services. As a hands-on role, they place an emphasis on monitoring, maintenance, and rapid response to anomalies in the system. While they may not be deeply involved in developing new systems or features, their expertise ensures that existing systems function optimally and that any disruptions are addressed swiftly.
Your Day-to-Day at Sagent:
- Constantly oversee system dashboards and utilize monitoring tools to detect irregularities or performance degradation.
- Respond promptly to system alerts, diagnosing and resolving issues directly or escalating to the appropriate team or engineer. Ensure timely communication about system issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Perform scheduled checks, updates, and patches to ensure systems are in optimal condition. This includes updating documentation to reflect any changes or upgrades.
- Maintain a comprehensive log of all system-related activities, anomalies, and resolutions. Contribute to postmortems, detailing incidents to help the broader team understand causes and prevent future occurrences.
- Work closely with Site Reliability Engineers, Developers, and other tech teams to understand system architecture, changes, and potential areas of concern. Provide feedback based on observed system behavior and performance metrics.
- Stay updated with the latest monitoring tools, system maintenance best practices, and relevant technologies that can aid in the role. Participate in training and workshops to enhance skills.
- Working in 24/7 Support environment in Ofc.

- Technical background with a foundational understanding of system architectures, networks, and cloud technologies.
- Proficiency in using monitoring tools and software.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to diagnose issues under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to convey system statuses to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented nature with a focus on documentation and reporting.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, Bash, or PowerShell. Familiarity with using these skills for automation and process improvement.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Datadog, Grafana) and basic approaches to incident response and system troubleshooting.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset, willing to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the lending technology sector or related financial services industries is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Certifications in areas like cloud technologies, AI, data management, networking, and cybersecurity are valued.
- Track record of innovative problem-solving, with higher expectations for senior roles.
- Strong communication skills, particularly for conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Commitment to continual professional development, with expectations increasing with seniority.
- Active involvement in open-source projects, technical forums, or professional communities is a plus for all roles, showcasing a dedication to collaborative growth and learning.
