Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Management Procurement Agent to support our sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationship efforts within the aerospace sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, supplier negotiations, and contract management. Experience with intellectual property (IP) agreements, including the sale, licensing, and use of IP, is a plus but not required.

What you'll be doing:

Supplier Management & Sourcing:

• Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery
• Develop long-term partnerships with key suppliers and foster continuous improvement initiatives
• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective action plans as needed

Procurement & Contract Negotiation:

• Lead negotiations for procurement contracts, ensuring favorable terms that align with business objectives
• Draft, review, and manage supply agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, legal, and finance teams, to align procurement strategies with company goals

Risk & Compliance Management:

• Ensure all procurement activities comply with applicable aerospace industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
• Work closely with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks in supplier contracts and supply chain operations

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with engineering, legal, and compliance teams to align procurement strategies with project requirements
• Provide guidance on IP matters to internal stakeholders, ensuring awareness and adherence to IP policies

Intellectual Property Agreements:

• Support commercial agreements related to intellectual property sales, licensing, and usage when applicable
• Work with legal teams to ensure supplier contracts align with company IP policies and protect proprietary technologies
• Stay informed on aerospace industry trends regarding IP management and licensing best practices

What you need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in procurement, supplier management, or contract negotiation in the aerospace or manufacturing industry
• Strong contract negotiation skills with a deep understanding of procurement best practices
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-tech environment
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite

Nice to haves:

• Experience working with intellectual property-related agreements (sale, licensing, or usage rights).
• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
• Understanding of export control regulations and international trade compliance.
• Certification in supply chain management or procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM).
