Account Service Intern
Open position in Portsmouth, NH; Hybrid work schedule; 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home

Work Schedule:
- Monday-Thursday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Inclusive of one 30-minute lunch break each day (unpaid)Up to 29 hours per week
- Hybrid work model, with two in-office days on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Overview:
The Account Service Intern provides hands-on support to the client services team, learning how creative and digital marketing projects move from initiation through completion. Working under the guidance of account managers and project managers, the intern will help keep projects organized, contribute to administrative and coordination tasks, and assist in preparing sales and client-facing materials. This is a learning-focused role designed for a student in their final year of college who is curious, detail-oriented, eager to build agency experience, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced creative environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
- Assist the Account Coordinator in building and maintaining Project Dashboards that consolidate key links, client and team information, deliverables, and milestones
- Help create and organize project folders on shared drives to ensure organized file structures and version control
- Learn to use Workamajig and assist with entering tasks, schedules, and deadlines under the supervision of an Account Coordinator
- Help flag overdue tasks in Workamajig and draft follow-up reminders for the Account Coordinator’s review
- Support leadership team and Account Coordinator(s) with administration tasks such as scanning mail, organizing files and other day-to-day office support
- Shadow account and project managers to learn how teams track progress, and assist in compiling internal status updates
- Perform content entry for new web builds, collaborating with the content and UX teams to ensure accuracy and proper formatting
- Attend and take detailed notes during internal calls, helping with meeting agendas, clearly documenting decisions, action items, and next steps, sharing notes with account managers for distribution
- Assist with drafting and preparing sales and new-business materials, including pitch decks, capabilities one-pagers, case studies, and proposal collateral, working closely with account managers to format, proofread, and refine content
- Conduct research on prospects, industries, and competitors to support new-business outreach and client pitches, leveraging agency-approved AI tools

- No prior professional experience required. Relevant coursework, campus involvement, prior internship or class projects related to a creative, digital, or advertising agency environment are a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
- Available to commit to up to 30 hours a week with two days in office for the duration of the summer internship.
Nice to Have:
- Basic understanding of web development and creative agency workflows.
- Experience / familiarity with tools such as Workamajig, JIRA, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, Slack, and Figma.
- Knowledge of QA best practices and content management systems (CMS).
- Comfort with Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross-functional team structures.
Education
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student entering their final year at an accredited college or university; major in advertising, marketing, or communications preferred.
