ROLE OVERVIEW  
 
The Media Coordinator is a collaborative, highly organized, and results-driven people-person, interested in executing world-class media programs for Salt and its clients. The best candidate for this role would be a digital native with a strong understanding of social media platforms like Meta & TikTok. They are interested in functioning as part of a high-performance team, collaborating with internal departments, media vendors and client teams to deliver results. This person is extremely solution-oriented, and has a knack for problem solving in a fast-paced environment.   

You will work closely with Managers and the broader media team to ensure campaigns are implemented effectively, tracked accurately, and optimized based on performance insights. This is an entry-level role designed to develop your understanding of full-funnel media, tools, and performance-driven marketing. 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES  

Media Planning, Buying & Investment Management 

  • Support campaign setup, trafficking, and budget allocation across platforms (e.g., META, TikTok). 
  • Assist in managing insertion orders, budgets, and delivery pacing under guidance. 
  • Ensure campaigns are executed according to approved plans and timelines. 

Integrated Media Strategy & Full-Funnel Planning 

  • Assist in the preparation of media plans, proposals, and supporting documentation. 
  • Develop an understanding of how different channels contribute to awareness, consideration, and conversion. 
  • Support the team in aligning campaign execution to client objectives and KPIs 

Measurement, Analytics & Insight Development 

  • Compile and maintain campaign reports using GA4, platform dashboards, and internal tools. 
  • Validate data accuracy and ensure consistency across reports. 
  • Identify basic trends or performance changes and escalate to your manager 

Media Tools, Platforms & Technology Fluency  

  • Build working knowledge of key platforms (Meta, TikTok eg.). 
  • Learn and apply Salt’s internal processes, naming conventions, and tech stack. 
  • Support tagging, tracking, and implementation of campaign requirements. 

Performance Optimization, Testing & Automation 

  • Implement basic optimizations (budget adjustments, creative swaps, audience updates) as directed. 
  • Monitor campaigns for pacing and performance issues. 
  • Support A/B testing initiatives and document results 

Channel & Audience Strategy & Data Application 

  • Assist with audience setup and targeting based on defined strategies. 
  • Learn how audience insights and data inform media decisions. 
  • Support the organization and documentation of audience and channel learning 

Collaboration & Team Contribution 

  • Work closely with internal teams (account, creative, strategy) to ensure alignment on assets and timelines. 
  • Communicate clearly and proactively regarding progress, blockers, and updates. 
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment. 

 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS  

  • 1–2 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or digital media 
  • Foundational knowledge of digital media platforms (Meta & TikTok are primary focus.). 
  • Exposure to analytics tools such as Google Analytics (GA4) nice to have. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $50,000–$57,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, level of responsibility, internal equity, and business needs. This range represents the expected base salary for this role and does not include other elements of SALT's total rewards program.
