ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Senior 3D Designer, you bring together creative leadership, design excellence, and advanced 3D expertise to deliver impactful, brand-driven experiences. You lead the development of creative concepts and translate them into visually compelling outputs across digital, social, and experiential environments — with a strong focus on spatial and immersive design.
Balancing hands-on execution with mentorship and strategic thinking, you guide both 2D and 3D design direction while ensuring the highest standards of craft, storytelling, and brand consistency. You have a deep understanding of design systems, composition, and environmental storytelling, using these to elevate creative work across all touchpoints.
The ideal candidate has a strong track record in both design leadership and 3D experiential work within fast-paced creative environments, combining aesthetic rigor with technical expertise to bring bold, effective ideas to life.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand-Aware Design Systems & Execution
- Lead the creation of brand-aligned visual systems across digital, print, and experiential platforms, including 3D environments.
- Translate strategic and creative briefs into scalable design frameworks and immersive spatial concepts.
- Oversee multiple projects from concept through delivery, ensuring timelines, priorities, and output quality are met.
- Ensure cohesion between 2D and 3D outputs across integrated campaigns and experiences.
- Review and refine work from Designers and Junior Designers to uphold brand standards and creative excellence.
- Partner with Creative Directors and Art Directors to evolve design systems and experiential outputs that strengthen client brands.
3D Design Execution & Experiential Conceptualization
- Lead the creation of high-quality 3D environments, renders, and visualizations for campaigns, events, and brand experiences.
- Translate strategy, briefs, and 2D assets into spatially dynamic, human-centered designs.
- Develop innovative visual approaches that align with brand tone, audience needs, and experiential goals.
- Apply strong storytelling through lighting, materials, composition, and spatial flow.
- Ensure technical accuracy, file organization, and consistency across all 3D deliverables.
Presentation & Stakeholder Communication
- Develop compelling presentations, mockups, and visual decks that clearly communicate creative intent and experiential vision.
- Present work confidently to internal teams and clients, articulating both design rationale and technical execution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Strategy, Accounts, and Production to ensure alignment with client goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Support pitches and client engagements with polished visual storytelling and immersive concepts.
- Provide mentorship and constructive feedback to junior team members, fostering growth and creative excellence.
Strategic Design Thinking
- Connect design decisions to brand strategy, audience insights, and campaign objectives.
- Lead and contribute to brainstorms, workshops, and concept development sessions with both visual and spatial thinking.
- Identify opportunities to enhance storytelling and impact across both 2D and 3D touchpoints.
- Use design thinking to solve creative challenges, balancing aesthetics, usability, and feasibility.
Visual Craft, Innovation & Quality
- Deliver exceptional work demonstrating mastery in layout, typography, color, composition, motion, and 3D visualization.
- Uphold and elevate design standards across all outputs, ensuring work is polished and presentation-ready.
- Stay current with emerging tools, rendering techniques, and experiential design trends.
- Explore new technologies and workflows to push creative boundaries and improve efficiency.
- Bring innovation and craft to every stage of the process — inspiring confidence, creativity, and excellence within the team.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- 5+ years of professional experience in design and 3D visualization within a creative, marketing, or agency environment.
- Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, 3D Design, Architecture, or related field preferred.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).
- Advanced knowledge of 3D software (Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya, Unreal Engine, or similar).
- Strong understanding of brand systems, typography, digital design, and experiential storytelling.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor designers and provide actionable feedback.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environments.
- Strong spatial design sensibility with expertise in lighting, materials, and environmental composition.
- Experience with motion design, interactive content, or real-time rendering is an asset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with client-facing experience.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and collaborative mindset.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $65,000–$100,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, level of responsibility, internal equity, and business needs. This range represents the expected base salary for this role and does not include other elements of SALT’s total rewards program.
