ROLE OVERVIEW
The Performance Analyst is an insights-driven strategist who transforms data into ideas that shape creative, strategy, and brand decisions. This is not a traditional reporting role—you are a key partner in the creative process, helping teams understand not just what is happening, but why it matters and how it can inform what come next.
You bring together cultural awareness, platform expertise, and analytical thinking to uncover strategic and creative opportunities. You’re highly collaborative, curious by nature, and skilled at translating complex data into clear, compelling narratives that drive better work.
Working closely with the Analytics team, you will act as a day-to-day partner to cross-functional teams, guiding how performance insights inform briefs, content, and campaign direction across Influencer, organic and paid social.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

INSIGHTS & STORYTELLING (PRIMARY FOCUS)
- Turn data into strategic and creative insights, not just reporting, connecting performance, audience behavior, and cultural context to inspire what comes next
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable narratives tailored to creative, strategy, and brand teams
- Identify patterns across content, campaigns, and conversations to unlock new opportunities for creative development and brand growth
- Contribute to briefs, playbooks, campaign planning, and post-campaign analysis with forward-looking recommendations, not just recaps
COLLABORATION & INTEGRATION
- Act as a core partner to creative, strategy, and account teams, embedding insights into the workflow, not delivering them after the fact
- Facilitate conversations that help teams understand performance and apply insights to improve ideas and execution
- Provide ongoing guidance and support on social tools, data interpretation, and measurement approaches
SOCIAL & CULTURAL INTELLIGENCE
- Stay ahead of platform trends, cultural moments, and emerging behaviors, connecting them back to brand opportunities
- Bring a point of view on what’s happening in social and why it matters for the work
- Contribute to thought leadership by identifying and sharing relevant shifts in the digital landscape
- Bring a strong understanding of the creator and influencer landscape, including how content, audiences, and platforms intersect to drive performance
MEASUREMENT & ENABLEMENT
- Help build and maintain dashboards that are useful, intuitive, and aligned to business priorities
- Ensure data accuracy and streamline reporting workflows through automation where possible
- Analyze performance across content, campaigns, and channels, delivering timely insights (monthly, quarterly, campaign-based)
- Partner with strategy teams to define KPIs, benchmarks, and measurement frameworks that reflect real success
INNOVATION
- Continuously evolve how success is measured by identifying new KPIs and better ways to track impact
- Push beyond standard reporting to explore new tools, methodologies, and ways of thinking about performance
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- 2+ years relevant experience in agency performance analytics, digital strategy or SMM role
- Proven ability writing in-depth, actionable insights based on data, translating insights into actionable recommendations for brands, creative and strategy teams
- Experience reporting on following channels Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, Twitter
- Familiarity with reporting tools (i.e. Khoros, Talkwalker, etc.)
- CPG experience desired but not required
- Preferred hands-on experience in Google Analytics, Search Console, paid social business manager accounts & Google Ad accounts
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Preferred exposure to all facets of the digital marketing space: CRM, SEO, SEM, programmatic, social, mobile, video
- Demonstrated creative and innovative thinker, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive projects through to completion
