Solutions Engineer
About the job:
Sama is searching for an experienced Solutions Engineer excited to solve customers' most complex problems. Straddling the product and sales organizations, you will work directly with our GTM team to discover and understand customer’s business needs and navigate complex sales cycles. As a technical expert, you will provide consulting expertise, value-based demonstrations, support enterprise Proof of Concepts, and develop custom solutions and integrations, while illustrating the value of Sama services and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
You will:
- Partner with Sama Account Executives and Sama Account Managers to deliver net new customer pilots and grow technical relationships with existing customers
- Lead technical scoping and requirements gathering to design complex AI data solutions for clients, providing machine learning expertise through product demos, proofs-of-concept, and workshops that align with client business objectives.
- Design, develop and maintain demos, integrations, and other tools for executing successful, efficient pilots and customer expansions
- Become an expert in Sama products from a business and technical standpoint and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry trends and emerging technologies
- Evangelize Sama and interact with customers at major industry events and academic conferences
- Partner with Product and R&D to influence the roadmap based on what you’re seeing on the front lines in the industry
- Collaborate with other SEs and technical teams to share best practices, lessons learned, and technical insights.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of industry experience in AI/ML companies
- 4+ years of enterprise sales experience, including experience selling deeply technical solutions to business and technical audiences pre and post-sales
- Bachelors in computer science, engineering, mathematics, a related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong scripting proficiency in Python
- Knowledge of AI and hands-on experience with ML models, including the ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the AI space
- Ability to develop and articulate an AI solution vision to technical and business stakeholders with customers and partners to match value proposition to business needs
- Demonstrate leadership through strong project management, meticulous attention to detail, ability to solve problems creatively and ownership of outcomes in fast-paced environments.
- Exhibit intellectual curiosity and empathy while thriving autonomously in ambiguous situations, bringing self-motivated energy to entrepreneurial challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience selling complex technical solutions to enterprises in the deal size of $500K to $5M+
- Hands-on experience in AI, Computer Vision, or Robotics - particularly hands-on sensor experience using Lidars, cameras and other automotive technologies.
