Product Engineer

Role

As a Product Engineer at Samaya, you will drive user facing experiences for our expert users. This year we are set up for rapid growth to several thousands of expert users that rely on Samaya daily. You will be critical in ensuring that we meet the users where they are and fit in to their expert workflows as smoothly as possible.

Instant QA: Our custom build Question Answer system using state of the art in house models, seamlessly trained to work together to enable instant expert intelligence. You will ensure users are kept engaged, get instant feedback on their questions, and have a robust and reliable experience.

Agents: You will ensure expert-level agentic workflows are easy to create and provide rich usable content to do the heavy-lifting in expert’s jobs.

In this role, you will be critical as we package our novel research and engineering techniques in a expert-accessible form factor.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of web application features, from conception through deployment, ensuring they meet our high standards for performance, accessibility, and user experience
• Work with users to understand their role and use-cases and make sure they have an seamless experience in the product
• Design and implement APIs and services that power our applications, working closely with backend teams to ensure uninterrupted integration and data flow
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members, including the product team, designers, and backend engineers
• Champion the continuous improvement of our engineering processes, advocating for best practices in code quality, deployment, and maintenance

Experience

Required

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or related qualification
• 5+ years experience in building and shipping user-facing features
• Expertise in front-end development, with advanced skills in React, TypeScript, and modern web technologies, ensuring the creation of engaging user interfaces
• A passion for building products that delight users, with a strong product orientation and the ability to prioritize features based on user value
• Proactive and eager to take ownership
• Fast iteration based on user engagement

Preferred

• Solid experience across the full development stack, including Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP

Compensation

The cash compensation range for this role is $160,000 - $220,000.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including, experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.

In addition to the base salary, we may consider equity as part of our total compensation package.
