About you
The ideal candidate has completed secondary school or holds a diploma in a related field, with 1–3 years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
About the role
As a General Technician, you will execute service requests and support day-to-day workshop operations by completing inspection, maintenance, cleaning, and minor repair tasks—promptly, safely, and to a high standard.
What you’ll do
- Execute assigned service requests and maintenance tasks according to approved procedures.
- Conduct physical inspections of service points and report findings as required.
- Perform vehicle servicing and steam cleaning.
- Complete minor repairs such as tyre removal, alignment, and wheel balancing.
- Carry out acid stripping of wheels and metal surfaces where required.
- Identify, document, and report additional repairs or issues discovered during service.
- Ensure customer requirements are fully met and work is completed to expected standards.
- Use, handle, and maintain all tools and equipment properly and responsibly.
- Complete work within expected timeframes and achieve productivity targets.
- Adhere to all quality standards, processes, and safety protocols outlined in the Environment, Health, Safety & Quality manual.
- Support additional duties related to the role as assigned.
What you’ll bring
- Secondary school completion or a diploma in a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant technician/workshop experience (or equivalent).
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety requirements consistently.
- Comfort working with workshop tools and equipment (including tyre/wheel equipment).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently under time expectations.
