The Taylor facility will boost the production of semiconductor solutions that will power next-generation technologies in areas like 5G, artificial intelligence (AI) and high performance computing.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Job Summary/Overview:

The Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) engineering team is guided by extensive data research and development that is anchored by collaborative relationships. Our primary commitment to provide uninterrupted supply of high quality water to the Fab is coordinated with our drive for operational improvements using new technology and operational procedures to improve sustainability, reliability, resilience, and efficiency. As the Technical Lead of the UPW Engineering team, you will:

• Provide technical oversight to all UPW activities including the following:
o Promoting a safe work environment using a process safety mindset
o Monitoring system performance and trend analysis for operational needs
o Use of peer-reviewed quantitative and qualitative data in technical reports for financial requests, incident reports and upper management presentations
o Providing oversight and communication to support the needs of Operations, Instrumentation & Maintenance teams as well as sub-contractors
o Lead technical evaluation of process issues in the UPW plant
o Evaluating process requirements and specifications of all UPW systems
o Cultivating, sustaining and managing collaboration to ensure site safety, quality of operation, and environmental stewardship
• Provide guidance to personnel, management, and executives on water projects rationalization and future planning of technical road map.
• Mentor, and provide technical development opportunities for each member of the UPW team through a collaborative career mapping approach that also support organizational objectives
• Lead innovation in new water treatment technologies
• Advise the team on prioritize of daily tasks, up through capital investment execution
• Support management reporting needs through data collection, consolidation and analysis
• Foster a team culture that promotes operational excellence, continuous learning, and empowerment.
• Advise on succession planning for all UPW Engineer and Project Manager roles, as well as talent acquisition and retention.

 

Specific Job Duties:

• Supports team execution and reports work in an organized, systematic and concise method
• Leads prioritization of team resources with input from individual contributors
• Develops and manages Industry Organization participation for team
• Communicates organizational strategy and long-term goals in a tactical execution format for direct reports to connect with
• Collaborates with operational supervisors to understand current needs of UPW systems
• Leads, encourages and enables data driven process improvement focus
• Collaborates with colleagues on initiatives and to support the needs of other teams
• Fosters a collaborative environment within Engineering, Operations and Maintenance teams
• Frequent collaboration with Engineering Supervisor to improve the performance of the team
• Coaches and mentors staff to facilitates career development and technical expertise
• Supports the development and establishment of standards and procedures

Shift: 1st Shift (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm)

Skills and Qualifications:

Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required

 

Demonstrated experience leading engineers within a facilities environment
BS or MS in Chemical Engineering, or another degree applicable to UPW systems.
Minimum of 10 years engineering experience in an industrial environment.
Minimum 5 years experience in UPW for electronics, pharmaceuticals, or other high technology industry.
