Position Summary:
As a Senior Researcher, you will be conducting physiology studies, including organizing and executing human data collections toward the development, verification, and validation of externally and internally developed devices, prototypes, and/or algorithms. In addition to leading clinical studies for the Digital Health Team, candidate will be involved in data management, data analysis, and clinical documentation. You will also author and maintain associated records and documentation for these studies.
Position Responsibilities:
- Designs and leads execution of product-critical physiological studies according to good laboratory practice, following applicable health and safety principles and practices
- Provide Support to Clinical Research Organization (CRO) during planning and execution of clinical studies
- Project management and managing vendor relationships
- Reviews and negotiates clinical study budgets
- Develops and trains on junior associates on laboratory best practices and procedures for efficient, cohesive, and high-quality datasets
- Creates and maintains appropriate study and human subject documentation/records
- Authors or oversees SOPs, safety monitoring, and regulatory
- Performs clinical data analysis and provides statistical inferences as needed
- Operates, maintains and trains others on physiological data collection laboratory equipment
- Coach and mentor junior researchers, ECG technicians on planning and execution of studies & annotations
- Work closely with IRB for clinical study planning including Informed Consent, protocols, etc.
Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Preferred in related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 3+ years of clinical data collection and analysis/clinical research experience in industry (e.g., medical device, SaMD, pharma)
- Familiar with IRB study approval, GCP, FDA, and HIPAA requirements
- Experience with statistical software
- Experience with clinical trial documentation, SOPs, and safety monitoring
Special Attributes:
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD)
- Worked with clinical studies involving wearables
- Experience with Matlab
Base Pay Range
$117,000 - $160,850 USD
