2025 Spring Intern, Computer Vision
Lab Summary:
Samsung AI Research Center (SAIC) located in Mountain View, California, is currently recruiting outstanding research interns for the Vision Intelligence lab. Our goal is to perform long-term research with potential for direct impact on future Samsung products reaching hundreds of millions of users worldwide. We are focused on pushing the state-of-the-art in multimodal understanding, generation, editing, long-term planning and tool use.
Position Summary:
In this position, the student will collaborate with researchers on ongoing projects in the lab around multimodal (image, video, 3D, text) understanding, generation and editing. We are looking for an intern for the Spring session (January-April).
Position Responsibilities:
- Reading research papers in the field and presenting in reading groups
- Building a synthetic data creation pipeline
- Writing code for distributed and low-rank adaptation training in Python and Pytorch
- Automated evaluation techniques including using other foundational models as a judge
- Executing experiments, documenting their progress and presenting insights
Required Skills:
- Currently pursuing a MS or PhD degree
- Experience with programming in Python
- Ability to read research papers and identify potential strengths and weakness
- Previous submissions or publications in top-tier conference and journals in CV/ML/AI such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, ICML, NeurIPS, AAAI
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Hourly Pay Rate Range
$44 - $63 USD
