2025 Summer Intern, Investment Intern
Lab Summary:
Samsung Ventures (SV) is the VC arm of the Samsung Group. With over $2.8B AUM the team's core mandate is to invest in promising startups and to foster collaboration between startups and Samsung Group companies. Our key focus areas include: AI, Robotics, Cyber Security, Health/Med-tech and Semis. Notable recent investments include Anthropic, Physical Intelligence, Figure.ai and D-Matrix.
Position Summary:
We’re looking for a full-time summer intern to work on the SV US investment managers.
Position Responsibilities:
- Investment Thesis. Support creation of new investment thesis.
- Screening Deals. Review investment opportunities, including analysis of company overview decks and meetings with entrepreneurs.
- Investment Analysis/ Due Diligence. Conduct initial research on investment opportunities, including financial and strategic analyses. Assist deal teams on due diligence (external and internal) for likely investments.
- Research Project. Work on a project for presentation to the greater SV team.
Required Skills:
- Must be currently enrolled in an MBA program or other graduate programs; technical or engineering undergraduate degree from top-tier university
- Experience in product management, startups, strategy consulting, venture capital, private equity, or investment banking in media or technology
- Outstanding financial modeling, presentation, and written communication skills
- Strong research skills
- Strong track record of managing multiple projects with tight timelines from start to finish
- Ability to work quickly and meet tight deadlines, with great attention to detail
- Passion and expertise in technology and media
- Positive attitude, self-starter, and high emotional intelligence (EQ)
Hourly Pay Rate Range
$36 - $63 USD
