2026 Intern, Software Engineer (Summer)
Lab Summary:
The Web Platform Team consists of engineers dedicated to researching innovative methods for creating and consuming content on the Web.
Position Summary:
We are looking for an engineering student that will join our team of Engineers to work with Google on Android issues for Samsung mobile products. This broad role includes tool development, architecting, programming and scripting work. Working as a full member of the team with your work directly affecting the successful release of our devices.
In this role, you will get a nitty-gritty look at what it takes to create mobile devices running Android in partnership with Google. You will also be at the forefront of mobile innovation by integrating and optimizing Galaxy AI features and utilizing Generative AI tools to enhance engineering productivity. This is a demanding role with high expectations to deliver results
During the internship you will have the opportunity to develop and enhance web-based tools for the team using Django and React. Some experience in web-based technologies is desired. You will be able to learn data processing skills for making dashboards and explore how AI driven automation can streamline the software development lifecycle.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance web-based tools for the team using Django and React
- Create dashboards and explore how AI driven automation can streamline the software development lifecycle
Required Skills:
- Currently enrolled in a BS/MS program in Computer Science or a related field
- Need to be very organized with a program management approach
- Flexible, dedicated, and be a fast learner
- Experience with Prompt Engineering and building autonomous agents or RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines to solve specific engineering problems
- Familiarity with AI development frameworks such as LangChain
- Django, React, Python, Rest API, MySQL, Web servers, HTML, Java, Pytorch
Hourly Pay Rate Range
$36 - $63 USD
