What You’ll Do
We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to manage the strategy and daily operations of FIPS 140 certification for our Enterprise and Data Center SSDs. As a key member of our team, you will define and advocate for optimal FIPS 140 security strategy, collaborate with multiple engineering teams and sites, and drive vendor management with CSTL labs. Your expertise will ensure timely delivery of FIPS certifications, enabling us to maintain our industry leadership.
Location: Onsite at our DSA San Jose headquarters
Hybrid, working onsite at our 3 days per week. Will need to implement any changes to site level HR rules regarding onsite requirements in the future.
Reports to: Sr Director. SSD Engineering
- Develop and execute comprehensive plans for FIPS 140 certification across multiple CSTLs, engineering teams and product generations.
- Track status on current certification submissions in progress, unblock engineers, and escalate blocker issues to management as needed
- Manage vendor relationships with CSTL labs, ensuring effective collaboration and issue resolution
- Work closely with business teams to provide visibility into certification schedules, timelines, and deliverables
- Collaborate with security engineering teams to ensure compliance with FIP 140 specifications and cryptography implementations in storage applications
- Provide guidance on ASIC and FW implementation strategies to optimize and shorten FIPS certifications
- Drive process improvements through checklists, best practices, post-mortems, reducing QA time for certifications
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
What You Bring
- Bachelors with 15+ years of relevant industry experience, or Masters with 13+ years or PhD with 10+ years of experience,
- 3 years in FIPS 140 Certifications.
- Strong understanding of FIPS 140 specifications.
- Strong experience working with CSTL labs on FIPS 140 certifications including documentation (e.g., Security Policy), code review, OP Test, physical security.
- Preferable experience of Security architecture and codebase in Enterprise SSD/HDD devices
- Background in cryptography and security application in SSDs/storage.
- Proven experience managing complex technical projects across multiple stakeholders; excellent communication skills required

Base Pay Range
$180,950 - $289,050 USD
