Position: Assessment & Intake Therapist
Location: Broomfield, CO
Schedule: Full time - Monday to Friday
Compensation: $57,500-68,000 Annual Salary (dependent on licensure and experience)
About The Role
As an Assessment & Intake Therapist/Counselor, you will manage the intake and assessment processes for our programs. You will work closely with clients, families, and the clinical team to ensure appropriate placement and care coordination. Your role will involve conducting assessments, managing pre-authorizations, and supporting clients’ transitions into treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and coordinate client intakes for PHP, IOP, and outpatient programs.
- Collaborate with clients and families to develop tailored treatment plans that align with their goals and needs.
- Perform pre-authorization and concurrent reviews for insurance, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of assessments, intakes, and service plans.
- Engage with the clinical team to discuss treatment formulation and ensure a seamless onboarding process.
- Evaluate clients’ appropriateness for the program and provide follow-up for alternative placements if needed.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and adherence to Joint Commission, federal, and state regulations.
- Represent the organization positively in interactions with families, referral sources, and community partners. Coordinate with families to ensure alignment on treatment goals and progress.
Qualifications:

- A master’s degree in behavioral health science (Clinical Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field) is Required
- An active license in the state of CO in good standing is required
- LPC / LPCC / LMSW / LCSW / MFTC / LMFT
- An ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience, including experience with clients from the age of 13 – 30 in a detox, residential, partial hospitalization (“PHP”), and/or intensive outpatient (“IOP) setting
- Candidates must demonstrate a proven ability to manage diverse caseloads while maintaining a high standard of care.
