Position: Electronic Medical Record Systems Manager

Location: Remote (CO / IL / MD / VA Preferred)

Schedule: Full time - Monday to Friday 

Compensation: $60,000-70,000 Annual Salary (dependent on experience) 

 

Position Overview: The Electronic Medical Record Systems Manager will serve as the primary liaison between Sandstone Care and our Electronic Medical Record Systems (Alleva and Avea), overseeing the integration, maintenance, and enhancement of our EMR platform. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can manage system functionality, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and support data-driven decision-making through dashboards and reporting tools. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Primary Point of Contact: 
    • Act as the main point of contact between Alleva and Sandstone Care. 
    • Maintain regular communication with Alleva to track feature development, bug resolution, and platform improvements. 
    • Provide internal updates on Alleva and Avea functionality, enhancements, and best practices. 
    • Lead bi-weekly meetings with key stakeholders, including the Compliance and Care Teams. 
  • System Integration and Coordination: 
    • Collaborate with external partners such as Quest, Dominion, ObservSmart, and the internal data lake team to manage system integrations. 
  • Location Management: 
    • Create and maintain Sandstone Care locations within the Alleva and Avea systems. 
    • Prepare system configurations for new location openings. 
    • Ensure operational consistency across all locations. 
  • Dashboard Development and Maintenance: 
    • Develop, manage, and optimize dashboards using the Looker platform. 
    • Validate and support the data collection and reporting process in Avea 
    • Coordinate with Sandstone leadership to create dashboards aligned with business needs. 
    • Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Information Systems., who leads dashboard development efforts, and the Director of Outcomes., who actively contributes to dashboard enhancements. 
    • Troubleshoot and resolve dashboard issues arising from code base changes, deprecated functionalities, or role-based distribution adjustments. 
  • Feature Roll-Out and Implementation: 
    • Lead the roll-out of new features developed by Alleva and Avea in collaboration with internal leaders, including Operations, Compliance and Care teams 
    • Oversee key projects  
  • Forms Development and Maintenance: 
    • Manage the development and maintenance of clinical and medical documentation forms within Alleva. 
    • Collaborate with Compliance and the Documentation Committee to rebuild and improve forms, particularly in response to system bugs affecting legacy documentation. 
  • Ticket Management and Support: 
    • Provide ongoing support to clinical leadership in data and tools to support enhancements to quality of care and details breakdowns of client base 
    • Coordinate the resolution of IT tickets related to both Alleva and Avea. 
    • Collaborate with the IT team to address routine issues and escalate complex problems as needed. 
    • Set ticket priorities based on current business needs and available resources. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience managing software platforms and vendor relationships. 
  • Strong understanding of system integrations and dashboard development. 
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills. 
  • Proficiency with Looker, as well as familiarity with clinical and medical documentation systems. 
  • Proficiency in mathematics with a focus on statistics, probability, data analysis, and algebraic concepts. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
