Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
Location: Remote (Candidates must live in CO, IL, MD, or VA)
Compensation: $50,000–$67,000 Annual Salary + Benefits
About the Role
The Senior Staff Accountant will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial initiatives. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in private equity-backed companies and a passion for the healthcare industry
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements specific to healthcare and private equity-backed businesses.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.
- Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Utilize ERP systems (NetSuite) for accurate financial tracking.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA certification a plus.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a private equity-backed or healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
