Receptionist (On-Call)
Nestled in San Francisco's Excelsior neighborhood on a nine-acre campus, the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living (SFCJL) is a center of excellence in providing a continuum of care. This includes the Frank Residences, offering luxurious assisted living and memory care services; the Jewish Home and Rehabilitation Center, featuring long-term skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, and an acute psychiatric unit specialized in mental healthcare for older adults over age 55; and the Jewish Home and Senior Living Foundation.

Position Overview
The Receptionist is responsible for greeting, checking in, and directing individuals who come on campus and connecting them to the appropriate party. They will arrange transportation services and visitation appointments for families when needed. They will answer phones promptly and direct calls to appropriate parties and will help process mail.
Essential Functions
- Answer all outside and in-house phone calls in a professional manner and connect to the appropriate staff member, resident, and patients.
- Assist residents and visitors coming to the Home and connecting them with the appropriate parties. Promptly alerting employees and patients when visitors are here.
- Monitor all in-coming and out-going foot traffic using security monitors and screen visitors entering the campus.
- Providing support to all in-coming guests with use of our check in Accushield platform.
- Coordinate with on-campus shuttle driver to assist residents with offsite appointment transportation.
- Coordinate staff and security responses to our wonder guard system.
- Maintain switchboard/front desk filing system.
- Correspond to both visitation email and phone requests as needed.
- Ability to respond efficiently and accurately.
- Coordinate delivery of flowers and packages to the Home.
- Assist in sorting resident mail and processing out-going registered and certified mail.
- Maintain and monitor calendars for the front desk.
- Coordinating and managing communication between guests and appropriate staff and follow-up to ensure customer concerns are resolved.
- Promoting/educated on all amenities, conveniences, and programs offered.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Some administrative duties such as copying, printing, etc.
- Check the general voicemail at the opening and closing of your shifts and forward messages to the correct
Position Details
Pay Rate: $23.00 - $25.00
Schedule: On Call, AM 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM OR PM 3:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent, plus two years of college-level general business courses; Associates degree in business
- Two years administrative assistant experience
- One year of experience using multi-line telephone systems and hand-held radios.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport quickly with peers and customers
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to read, write, communicate and comprehend verbal and written instructions in English
- Flexible schedule required
