Administrative Assistant II (Part-Time)
What's the Short Version?
The Administrative Assistant II, HR is responsible for providing support to the Human Resources Department and Reception Desk. This is a fast-paced, high volume position that requires a friendly professional with great customer service skills.
This role is part-time with opportunity to become full-time.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Assist and provide support to the main Receptionist.
- Serve as the backup receptionist during daily breaks, lunches, vacations and leaves.
- Answer phones and transfer calls on a multi-line telephone system
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and deliveries.
- Greet and receive customers and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide clerical/administrative support to the HR Department and other departments as needed; duties include include document preparation, verbal and written communication, coordinate meeting setup, photocopying, mailing, and filing.
- Interact with staff to define, prioritize, and assist with the execution of tasks and activities required to meet deadlines.
- Assist with the organization and coordination of department and corporate events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
What Are We Looking For?
- High School Diploma
- 1-3 years of general administrative or reception experience
- 1-3 years in a customer services role
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and outstanding customer service is required
- Ability to demonstrate complete confidentiality and discretion
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proven reliability
- Demonstrates flexibility and can quickly adapt to changes in the work environment
- Responsive to team needs with professionalism, respect and consideration of others
What's Our Offer?
Salary Range: You`ll earn between $21.39 - $29.00 on an hourly basis, depending on experience.
Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am - 3:30pm Pacific
Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 5% of base salary.
Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect?
Office: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Work environment is moderately quiet. Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building. SanMar's Eastpointe office is located near Seattle, WA and our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Quarterly travel may be required.
